GAME XVER by $AHEJX is a project that feels caught between trying to be emotionally reflective and aggressively energetic, but never fully committing to either direction. While the album has flashes of quality production and a couple memorable moments, the overall experience feels inconsistent and underwhelming. The features often end up being the strongest parts of the project, which unfortunately highlights the weaknesses in $AHEJX’s own performances.
