While I'm not nearly as harsh on this as everyone else seems to be, it does feel like Ninja Sex Party's "These Nuts" is a step down from the previous original albums. There's still a good amount of songs I like (Let's Save the Earth, Dance 'Til You Stop, The Boner of Peace), but even the best songs feel like lesser rehashes of previous highlights. It's a bit of a letdown after 4 years of nothing but an album of song "remasters" and an acoustic version album.
Like a fusion of Chromeo and early Bo Burnham. "Early Bo Burnham" meaning before he started getting super deep with his introspection. As far as comedy songs go though Tom Cardy is funky and funny, and that's all he needs to be right now as someone just starting out. I just realized the only other person who reviewed this (mrmerie) also said "funky and funny," but I mean... It's true so I'm leaving it.
