I always have some trouble writing a review of something I've enjoyed but whose reviews aren't positive.
I really enjoyed this album, but looking at the online reviews it was received a little badly.
but I'll try anyway.
I have a strong connection to British rap.
It is probably thanks to artists like slowthai or Skepta that I started to expand my musical tastes, and rappers born under Queen Elizabeth have always interested me, partly because of their uniqueness in terms of timbre, accents and ... read more
this album isn’t only bad.
this album is atrocious, and he tries even to justify his existence by saying:”you couldn’t understand, you haven’t been in prison”
this is boring and definetly too long.
YoungBoy seems even weak than his labelmates.
this is a brilliant pop album.
Dominic, even though he seems glued to his comfort zone,he give us a great project, entertaining and funny to listen
(I know that I listed this album as a RollzRois album, but Less Torrance doesn’t have a page on this site).
the main duo of the group Santa Sede,RollzRois and Less Torrance, finally dropped their first project.
this is a truly powerful rap album, fullfilled with great bars and pretty nice instrumentals.
It was probably intended to give to the artists a project with more summer vibes, but is stucked in the tipical Griselda sound
even if some griselda song didn’t age very well, this is probably alchemist great project
Uzi.
Uzi was a real important artist in my musical grow up.
I know it will seem like a stupid and childish thing to say,but when I approached rap, trap, etc. at the age of eleven/twelve, Uzi was one of the first artists I discovered and fell in love with, initially only for "XO Tour Lif3" and later with two albums that have a special place in my tiny dark heart:"Luv is Rage 2" and "Luv vs The World 2".
now, after a long period with practically nothing from ... read more
producer album.
I love them and I hate them.
they could be either a great example of a producer art, being his magnus opus,or it could be an awful mix of random rappers made just to hit the charts.
it could be an Alchemist or a DJ Khaled.
Drillionaire decided for the second option.
this album is a overall blend project.
the productions are boring and without any interesting twist. they are only made for the charts.
the rappers are kinda disappointing. there are a few good performances, but the ... read more
the album is overall alright, but it is pretty boring.
not a song,a bar or a feature stood out.
even the features are pretty blend.
I was really hyped.
I hoped that this would be a good album.
instead I end up underwhelmed.
This album has two main issues.
1)it’s hella mid. I listened this album two times and still I can’t find an highlight or something that I can rember.
not even a chorus or a bar
2)Young Thug is sometimes a great artist, sometimes is unlistenable.
the features range from fine to pretty weak(hi Drake) and the productions are mid.
delusional
it’s nice.
it has three great songs and some great verses from billy,Earl and Jay Worthy.
the only issue is that it is too short
I’m kinda involved in this album.
Even if Johnny is a way better artist that I will ever be,we share one thing:the love for that beautiful game called basketball.
this is a basketball album that doesn’t talk about of basketball.
there are a bunch of references, but they are well mixed with the heavily personal narrative that Johnny decides to bring with his return.
inside a thoughtful dialogue,he brings up his emotions, speaking to the listener and to old friends, lovers and his city ... read more
it’s a great project, fullfilled with quality instrumentals and heartbreaking vocals.
but it’s too long.
maybe it’s my issue, but a 43 minutes song cross the line between brilliant and boring
