I really want to root for this band, I really do. I guess I'll just sit and watch. From the chair and stuff. Yeah.

What was I even thinking? While yes, still bloated, it is classic JoCo.

I would say it's interesting to listen to this in hindsight, but my opinion hasn't changed too drastically. Songwriting/demoing exercise, with somewhat positive results and ideas I'll add onto in a later time. Some personal takeaways you can make from the lyrics.
It's a struggle, picking up from where I left off with even less knowledge. Don't have time anymore to relearn all of the old tricks ... read more

Even at its least derivative, it did right making me feel all nostalgic & whatnot. Only up from here. Neat cover too.
Drops to a low point during the second verse (oddly mixed guitars, not as lyrically focused, dif. melody w/ the "the reason I keep trying"), but I enjoy the way the song develops nonetheless. PatGPT, rewrite Back to the Shack, but make it infectiously optimistic.
Shoutout Klas & Kenny, shoutout Rivers for the very Hurley-esque vocal performance, and shoutout shane_m for winning Weezer trivia night. Winky Smiles.
The least patient person you know will give this fifteen minute EP a 65, somehow.

Some well maintained crossroad traffic going on here.
(This user has been complaining, cordially so, about Tony Molina's shortcomings when it pertains to songwriting for years, so having almost trusted the user score to leave Bory alone, has left the user frustrated. I'll have more to say, after I let this record sit with me.)
After five years and a Jeff Rosenstock concert, this substantially grows on you.
Something's so powerful about melody...not saying that's all the quality of this EP is owed to, but when it coincides with a frank "You've hurt me / You're killing me" it feels as if the heartache described so becomes my own. And talk about a dreamy atmosphere, these songs build and release tension very well! Only criticism I can remotely figure out is that some of the male vocal takes sound thin, almost grating. I should have more to say but I guess that'll ... read more
Yeah, it's that 90s alt rock flavor of the genre, but you're able to pick out and hear just about every power pop trope under the sun! And you'll love it...maybe. I love it.
