An important album for jangle pop and bedroom pop. As an overall album it's a good, enjoyable and chill tracklist with standout moments all throughout it. Most of the album has this chill, laid back aesthetic, thanks to the mellow guitars and Mac DeMarco's soft voice, even when the volume and the energy are turned up, this album keeps the relaxing tone all the time.

The intro "Cooking Up Something Good" establishes the tone really well, a smooth and chill guitar-centered song.
"Dreaming" is a great name for the following track, since it has a light tone of psychedelic pop, just a few lyrics and a dreamy chorus.
Then we have "Freaking Out The Neighbourhood", a banger, the guitar riffs are amazing and makes you feel that you are driving through a busy city.
I like "Annie", again, I love the guitar riffs throughout this track, although it feels a little one-dimensional.
"Ode to Viceroy" is the best song on this album, it's incredible, the reverb in the guitar is immaculate and Mac's performance makes this song really fun to listen to. THE RIFF IN THE CHORUS MIXED WITH MAC'S GORGEOUS MELODY, OH MY GOD, one of the best indie pop choruses.
"Robson Girl" has a cute guitar riff, it's just a feel-good type of song. The breakdown in the middle sounded kinda silly at first, but it grew on me.
"The Stars Keep On Calling My Name" is a simple song, although it has a nice, chill, beach vibe. And the outro is a great final bow to tie up the song together.
"My Kind Of Woman". Do we really need to talk about this song? It sets the tone quickly, a lovely, slow and moody song with an incredibly catchy and wholesome chorus. I love the drum pattern, for some reason it has always been something that I've noticed every time i listen to this song. I don't even need to mention the guitar riff, once again is amazing.
"Boe Zaah" is an instrumental. I don't have much to say about this song, it's just a vibey, relaxing track that reminds me of the ocean.
"Sherrill". Yeah, I guess this song is pretty nice, but I think that is too similar as some previous tracks and too one-dimensional.
"Still Together" is an acoustic song. I'm kind of on the fence with this song, even though I think is cute to imagine Mac singing the song to his partner (as the outro suggests), I think the vocal performance in this one leaves a lot to be desired.

So, overall, I think this is a great listen, since there are some really incredible tracks on this album. Although, there are times that I feel that the tracklist seems too one-dimensional, for example, I feel like "Annie", "Robson Girl" and "Sherrill" are really similar to each other, or at least similar enough to make me feel a bit bored when I listen to the whole tracklist.
