First of all, this was the album that made me create this account. I have a lot of things to say, but in summary, I think this is one of the most beautiful, expressive and interesting albums that I've ever heard in my life.
As an overall album, this is immaculate. The way Will Toledo is able to build these complex and mesmerizing song structures through all the track list and the fact that it doesn't become boring or tiring at any moment since the first listen makes this a fun ... read more
Ooooh, boy. I really like this thing. This was one of the first albums I've ever been attached to, and it was really nostalgic revisiting it. Even though some of the lyricism in this thing has become a little bit dull (even a bit cringey), since it has some of the "this ain't no pop music" gibberish from Blurryface, I still find it emotive and sincere. It went hard on the "electropop" influence all throughout, basically every song relied heavy on synths and midis ... read more
Yet another Green Day album. First of all, to be honest, Nimrod has never been an album I return to a lot. The amount of respect I have for this album cannot be overstated. Green Day, specifically "American Idiot", was one of my first musical obsessions since I was like 4 years old. Even though I didn't understand any of the words because English wasn't my first language, I remember putting this on every time I could and just murmuring gibberish. So yeah, I have a big personal connection to this thing.
Is it my favorite album? Not really. I feel like a lot of the tracks stand ... read more
I'M BACK, BABY. Okay, first of all, I'm reviewing the albums I have saved on my Spotify Likes, so expect plenty of emo pop slop at first since I stopped adding songs since like 3 years ago. When I finish with them, I'm gonna get into newer releases or just my newer taste in music.
That being said, honestly... It's not that bad. I expected this to be genuine horrible pop songs, but they are catchy. Some more than others, but not that bad for a post-"Pretty Odd" ... read more
I'll do a review later. I'm just gonna say that I'm really disappointed and pissed off.
