"Warning:" is a much different approach for Green Day. Instead of continuing the pop rock sound that albums like "Nimrod" and "Dokie", it goes for an almost folk punk style with the jangly guitars and the harmonicas within tracks like "Warning" and "Deadbeat Holiday", as well as experimenting with completely different sounds out of the blue that pay off greatly like on the song "Misery". While I wouldn’t call Green Day any good at experimenting, and this album feels like they heard six random songs, and decided to make an album out of just that, I can’t help liking most of the tracks on this album. Taking Nimrod’s sound but adding a more poppy and folky touch to it, the listening experience is still a bit disjointed, but there’s still a lot of great material to be found.
