Birthing by the New York band Swans is absolutely majestic and truly brings you back to your childhood. Birthing is the final part to "big sound era" which included albums such as My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky, The Seer, To Be Kind, The Glowing Man, Leaving Meaning, The Beggar and Birthing.

I'm very impressed I actually like a Green Day album who would've thought. Dookie is Green Day's 3rd studio album and widely considered their best work and so far I agree.

Kerplunk is definitely a upgrade from 39/smooth with a more catchier bouncy production but its just not clicking with me yet.
Kerplunk is Green days second album and a classic album in the green day fanbase and I can understand why it's basically just a more raw less refined version of there future albums and I think that works for the benefit of kerplunk and also hurts the album overall.

Yay pop punk my favourite music genre. Sarcasm aside 39/Smooth is a decent debut album though it's very lackluster at times.
When you think of pop punk 2 bands usually come to mind blink-182 and Green Day. One thing about me is I absolutely hate Blink-182 I just really dislike the vocals and mixed with energetic pop punk it just doesn't mix well at all and makes my ears bleed. This is definitely a contender for my album of the year this or the fall off I need more listens of each to fully decide. This album is so fucking beautiful it's message is great while still danceable and surreal with alot of replay value.
