Swans - Birthing
90

Birthing by the New York band Swans is absolutely majestic and truly brings you back to your childhood. Birthing is the final part to "big sound era" which included albums such as My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky, The Seer, To Be Kind, The Glowing Man, Leaving Meaning, The Beggar and Birthing.

If I would describe these albums it would be crushing post rock This style may seem just noise to the untrained ear but it's truly beautiful the lyrical themes alone add so ... read more

Listening to every Green Day album 3/14
I'm very impressed I actually like a Green Day album who would've thought. Dookie is Green Day's 3rd studio album and widely considered their best work and so far I agree.

Dookie is the album that really put Green Day in the mainstream skyrocketing and peaking at number 2 in the US billboard 200. I can definitely see why this album is so loved is the unapologetic nature and series topics discussed with some actually good pop punk ... read more

Listening to every Green Day album 2/14
Kerplunk is definitely a upgrade from 39/smooth with a more catchier bouncy production but its just not clicking with me yet.

Kerplunk is Green days second album and a classic album in the green day fanbase and I can understand why it's basically just a more raw less refined version of there future albums and I think that works for the benefit of kerplunk and also hurts the album overall.

The filler tracks really affected the album listening ... read more

Reviewing every Green Day 1/14
Yay pop punk my favourite music genre. Sarcasm aside 39/Smooth is a decent debut album though it's very lackluster at times.

When you think of pop punk 2 bands usually come to mind blink-182 and Green Day. One thing about me is I absolutely hate Blink-182 I just really dislike the vocals and mixed with energetic pop punk it just doesn't mix well at all and makes my ears bleed. Green Day however because Billie Joe Armstrong is a good singer at times. I ... read more

Genesis Owusu - REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE

This is definitely a contender for my album of the year this or the fall off I need more listens of each to fully decide. This album is so fucking beautiful it's message is great while still danceable and surreal with alot of replay value.
