Gorillaz are back I repeat Gorillaz are back!!
I am so thrilled this album came out as good as it did. Everything about this record is exactly what Gorillaz has always been, and the difference between this record and other recent Gorillaz records is this one is significantly more consistent than those records.
I love the influences of Hindi music on this record, that is also such a vintage Gorillaz thing to do to pull off so well.

Some of the most beautiful song writing I have ever heard. Joni perfectly captures the feeling of melancholy throughout each track. This album is sad, devastating even at times, and so easy to appreciate in its beauty and storytelling.

Least Favorite Track: My Old Man (8/10)
9.4/10

Favorite Tracks: Ravens (9/10), Swims (9/10), Crow (8.5/10)
Least Favorite Track: When I Take Out the Garbage at Night (6/10)
8.3/10

A good record, but a little overrated.

But other moments of this album feel dull, bland, and mediocre. Take Forever in My Life for example, which sounds like a lifeless demo and feels out of place and unworthy of being in the tracklist. I have similar but more forgiving feelings for the ... read more
