There is a reason why this was my most played song of 2024. The absolute pinnacle of feel-good anthems, Float On stands out from the Modest Mouse discography, as it is a relatively heartwarming and not depressing song. The defining Britpop song-and possibly just the defining British Rock song from the early nineties. Just short of 5 minutes of pure bliss, legendary song writing, and beautiful instrumentation. A true masterpiece in every sense of the word. Sally has been waiting for 30 years, but now Oasis is back. Absolutely incredible, iconic, and stunning track.
I have a confession to make;I love Weezer. Specifically, I love the Blue album. Like a lot. This is unironically my second favorite album of all time.
