Andy Lee doesn't miss. Easily the finest HM2-worship around and paired perfectly with virtuoso shredding.
Far more fun and catchy than their previous releases with the same weirdness that makes them unique. Perhaps a little slow in places, but a strong statement from a band that's been around for ages.
Weirdly enough, this record serves as a statement of intent for Crypt of Blades and Side Quest. The material on Adventure One lacks the aggression of aforementioned releases, but trades it for ambience and grandiosity. That being said, the record is overflowing with hooks and solid choruses.
Favorite track: The Allure of Silver
Soaring, epic, melodic black metal with memorable riffs that have been stuck in my head since the first spin.
Favorite track: Pohjolan Tytär
Solid black metal. Nothing mind blowing, but nothing offensive either.
