A really cute and enjoyable EP, Momo has a lot of potential. I'd love to see her branch out and experiment a bit more. Lovely smooth, easy to listen to vocals and for the most part pretty good lyricism.
Favourites: Second Best, Cold Hands
This album sounded like a Slayyyter and Charli xcx scrapped collab.
It contained all the best parts of ‘Wor$t Girl In America’ and the worst parts of ‘BRAT’. (however all parts of brat are the worst) There was nothing really unique about any of this. There were parts of this album I enjoyed and overall its well made it’s just not really my thing and also it hurt my ears.
Favourites: detour, Jeep
This is my first full evanescence experience and it did not disappoint. Amy Lee’s powerhouse vocals over exciting but not special instrumentals keep you impressed throughout the entire album. The storytelling aspect was really interesting though hard to focus on. I liked it despite the vocals not being my vibe and there were a couple weird production moments. The title track changed lives.
Favourites: Sanctuary, Beautiful Lie, Afterlife
This album shows a new, much more laid back sounding version of Malcolm and his music and though I still love it, it definitely was a tad more boring than what I expected. Although I said the same about his self titled and after Two months of listening I completely changed my mind.
Favourites: Breathe, Ain’t that the truth, I saw your face, do that again
I was introduced to Heddy Edwards about two years ago when ‘Black Tunnel’ released and my friend mentioned being excited about the release. Flash forward to now, the song is now in a whole EP! This EP was very enjoyable. Heddy has really spectacular instrumental breaks during her songs and vibe switches where the song will get very big which I really appreciate.
Favourites: The other side of town, Cinematic vision, Dreamcast
