Even though its the best album in music history, its extremely overrated.
This type of hip hop isn't really my cup of tea, but Boogie here does it better than most. With out a doubt the best Shady Records album in a while.
This album is so overlooked, its his most catchy album to date, and his singing is at its best here.
Has some phenominal tracks, but also contains a lot of filler, Driver's worse but still not a bad listen.
If you are a monotone rapper you need to rap over more lively production, otherwise your bound to create a snoozefest like this. I know this was the aesthetic Earl went for, its just not for me im sorry.
Production is pretty solid for the most part, but almost none of the members stand out and it contains way to much filler, but hey, X finally released an album that isn't straight up trash
Track 1: Retirement Ode
This is a pretty unusual intro track, but none less fantastic. On here, Driver raps about how weird he is basically, but in a braggadocious manner that doesn't come off as corny/cheesy. As for the production, it is psychedelic and almost dream like, and the near ending part puts me in a transe every time. The interludes on here are also hilarious.
