Roadkill Overcoat is a thorny album, one that doesn't give itself over easy, and definitely not on first listen.
RoadKillOvercoat will certainly win him some fans who have previously avoided hip-hop, but for those same reasons, it might also cost him some, too.
I grow tired of trite tropes; folks and their quotes calling Driver a motormouthed pretentoid in an era of unrefined gas guzzlers and past-hunters. Lyrically, substantively, Driver is a standout. The proverbial paywall here is the production. I have no mind to spare it; there is a golden fly buzzing in my head. Boom Bip's harvests with doseone proved more bountiful, and Nobody's here medley is the most middling Low End production I've heard. [not to be muddled with Milwaukee].
Just awful. How do people even like this? Dude is literally just saying NOTHING on it while being Danny Brown with his annoying verse and giving the weirdest energy ever. When this dude enters his "Bone Thugs" flow, he's literally not even audible and I have no idea what he's saying. No wonder this mf reached 7000+ words, he just started saying random shit. His flows are so bad, and his delivery is intolerable. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is redeeming about this album.
Why in the world is this rated so low?? There was like three or four songs I didn’t really like but overall I had a great time. This album is ADHDcore to the bone, all over the place all the time, with the most charismatic vocalist I think I’ve ever heard on top of that.
