Baby Keem - Ca$ino
80

Bro someone get Keem his Xbox back 😭

This was actually so incredible, his lyricism is amazing. No Blame might be his best song of all time, and so many amazing cuts and such a solid theme. Only had like one skip, and kinda wish it was longer, but this is his best album and it isn't even close

Brent Faiyaz - Icon
75

very solid, very vibey. wish it was longer, also Other Side is so peak, might be one of his best songs it was like MJ

J. Cole - The Fall-Off
80

look I'm not a big J cole guy, so this album is not catered to me, but man this was really good. while not a lot of playlist songs per say, the writing and storytelling was spectacular. the disc 29 and 39 narrative really adds to this as well, and shows a journey of aging and his changes on his view of life. also some of his best singing cuts ever. 39 Intro might be oneof the best songs of the decase ngl that had me ascending

Don Toliver - OCTANE
58

im ngl im disappointed, the vibes of this were good but there wasn't really anything that stood out much to me, there didn't feel to be too sonically of a theme or lyrically either (other than this mf likes sex), got a few songs out of it but definitely not as good as the other Don projects ive listened to

Denzel Curry - Fake Jeezy
78

was expecting a Peggy verse so that was a lil disappointing, a banger for sho tho

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
83

edit: ok after relisten this grew on me a fair amount, SH4L is so peak dude Brent slid on that. I like how much stuff he tries on here, and while I don't think every song hits imo, most of them do and I think that there is something for ever rocky fan. also are we listening to the same album??? how does Stole Ya Flow have a higher rating than like every song here??? over Whiskey??? over DOnt Be Dumb??? over No Trespassing??? i swear some of yall will only like a song if its a drake diss ... read more

A$AP Rocky - PUNK ROCKY
78

this is prett good, may need some time to grow on me but I think this is an interesting single, DBD

Drake - Honestly, Nevermind
43

honestly not as bad as I expected, not very good, but there were a few likeable tracks, and Jimmy Cooks is still peak. some very off-putting songs too but I'm a fan of house so I don't hate this album

Conway the Machine - You Can't Kill God with Bullets
76

my first taste of Conway's solo work and this was really good. while some songs were very solid, some were more forgettable and could've been left off. the album felt a little long-winded so a few removales would've brought this much higher, as it's peaks are both unique and lyrically impressive. it's the skips that hold this tracklist down

redveil - sankofa
82

first I've heard of redveil, and while some tracks I wasn't huge on, the tracks thathit were peak. very sold jazz rap, I'll def have to check out his other projects

Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
83

ngl this is peak, while slightly bloated, where this album hits it is crazy. crazy lyric depth from someone like Bad Bunny, and a sonical landscape to match. I'm kinda shocked at how good this was, has some of his most emotional cuts but is still a banger album

Drake - Certified Lover Boy
38

snooze fest of an album. I like a few songs which r peak, but overall way too bloated for such a minimal and sleepy sound. only reason this is below FATD imo is because at least that album has some diversity, this feels very one note. also ngl I got so bored I didn't finish the album...

RISSA - Made To Feel
65

this was a recommendation from my roommate, first half felt like a blend of Giveon and Mariah the Scientist and was rly good, but last couple of songs fell off for me, felt like weird Chance the Rapper type beats. overall some nice songs, def like her voice and style when it's over more soul-inspired tracks

SoFaygo - MANIA
10

whoever told me to listen to this deserves life without parole. most beats r just ok but oh my gosh sofaygo sounds awful, get this man OFF THE MIC PLEASE. what does Travis see in him 🥀

21 Savage - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STREETS?
59

while there r quite a few duds on this album, I appreciate a lot of the song concepts, especially in the later half. the song with lil baby is surprisingly good, and the song with drake is surprisingly bad. I appreciate the concept of slowly realizing the consequences of living a trap lifestyle, however it def could've been executed better, and this does not live up to American Dream

John Michel - Egotrip
85

feels like if college dropout has jpegmafia on drums, fire beats and fire spitting, sad I didn't listen to this album sooner

21 Savage & Metro Boomin - SAVAGE MODE II
80

Edit: after relisten, amazing album for the gym, banger after banger

a lot of bangers, I love the Memphis sound. I do wish this album stuck to being more grimmy, but 21 consistently performs well and sounds interested. also I wish there wasnt 21 autocrunning I wasn't a fan of that

Saba - C0FFEE!
60

idk kinda a nothing release

Bad Bunny - Un Verano Sin Ti
75

had some bangers but also some duds, definitely bloated.i don't rly know what he is so m score maychange once I translate the lyrics, but it was a vibe

"yeah I mean I wouldn't say Logic is always corny, tho as someone who uses to listen to him religiously in middle school, he can be a cornball, especially when he is ripping off other rappers (ex: the entirety of Everybody or CODM) I'll look into the Cordae album, thanks for the recommendation"
