Lil Uzi Vert - Luv Is Rage 2
55

i went into this wanting to like it, idk just not a ton of songs really do it for me. there are many times where uzis auto crunning just kinda sucks ngl. the beats are cool but certain songs uzi just doesnt do enough to keep me interested. the bangers on this album hit, but the others are just kinda forgettable. idk maybe this style of trap just isnt my thing but i do like a lot of Uzi bangers, i guess i just expected more? idk ppl talk this album up to be so good but it felt underwhelming to ... read more

Bryson Tiller - T R A P S O U L
70

cool sound, i like the singing and the beats, honestly just nothing super standout to me. not to say that this album is bad, many solid songs that will go crazy on late night drives, but nothing super standout imo. i do like what he does here a lot, but nothing blew my socks off, i probably got like 9/14 songs for playlist, so pretty alright ratio to me

The Brook & The Bluff - First Place
75

my friend gave me this recommendation, very much a vibe. i like the sound of it a lot and it feels great for both day and night time listens, a couple parts of the album I wasnt huge on, and there wasnt anything like that really stood out to me, but this is a very lowkey album to just vibe to, and I like it for thata

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper
82

dude I know this score will have me crucified but y'all really need to hop of his quadiddlydong, this is not a 10/10

I really like this album, I love the production, easily Quadeca best produced album, and I like how to production ramps up as the narrative shifts. this brings up a problem tho, as the narrative is much harder to follow than IDMTHY. I also think certain tracks were very over produced, and even tho the chaos was what he was going for, it felt unbareable sonically. also some ... read more

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
87

this is my first real listen to of a Freddie Gibbs album but wow he snapped, Uncle Al killed every beat, and Gibbs didn't have a weak verse. I will say Larry June should have not been here but overall very solid and chill album, I need to listen to the first Alfredo

Drake - Which One
20

last single got me really excited for Iceman but dawg what the hell is this 😭

Tame Impala - End Of Summer
70

this is definitely not the direction I expected. needles to say I enjoyed it, but he definitely could've cut down the run time, 7 minutes is obserd

Daniel Caesar - Have A Baby (With Me)
80

very very good single. would've been a 100 if it built up to more but I really liked the direction it went, and the lyrics felt very heartfelt. I'm excited for this new album

Samara Cyn - backroads
81

dude whatttttt this is actually so good. I discovered from her XXL cipher, cuz she did so good. this blew me out the water tho this was super good, only main complaint is that it's too short

Pusha T - My Name Is My Name
69

pusha T does pretty good lyrically, he has standout tracks. I have a few complaints tho, 1) quite a few features ruined the songs imo (ie Future, Pharell, whatever the moaning Kanye vocals rhe song with Rick Ross), 2) a bit of it sounds dated, and 3) there were just some sound scapes that Pusha T does not fit in. overall it was cool and def had some great songs along with duds

Various Artists - Black Panther: The Album
78

even separated from the fact that this is a soundtrack this is quite impressive. only issues really come from a few features don't mash to well together, but when it works (which it does often) it works quite well

Future - EVOL
65

quite few bangers, but also quite a few duds. Low Life is a top 5 future song tho. also, a few inflections he had I wasn't huge on, but overall consistent and short

Tyler, The Creator - Wolf
75

pretty cool, forgot to rate earlier so may be inaccurate. quite long tho ngl, but there were some bangers, I rly fw Tamale

GIVÄ’ON - BELOVED
80

nice lik RnB project, I like it a lot, but nothing like super standout other than his voice, but man this dude can sing. this album will go crazy on late night drives

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
87

peak, my roommate kept recommending me this album and I understand why. it kept getting better and better as it went along. tho this isn't my style, I love what this album did

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
73

dude I swear if someone else says "this is Tyler's gnx" I may crash out.

this was cool, definitely not the direction I expected. I liked a lot of the vibes of these songs, however my main gripe was the writing on some of these songs could've been a lot better. overall the vibes were good, solid album as any Tyler album is. I like the mixture of west coast and like dance music

edit: nevermind I like never visit this other than a track or 2

Post Malone - Stoney
68

over hated, this album has a lot of bangers. this feels like a less mature B&B. my main complaint is some of the mixing on these songs is horrendous, like could've done better for some. but overall a lot of fun bangers

Colter Wall - Imaginary Appalachia
75

pretty good intro to Colter Wall, pretty solid work, idk what else to say

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2
50

bro that DJ on PBT was doing his best to give Swamp Izzo a run for his money

honestly I expected it to be around this range. I will say that if this tracklist was cut down a decent bit this would be closer to like a 75, this has a lot of fun bangers. it also has some mid and some stinkers too. honestly shocked by how good the SoFaygo song was. I really wish this felt less like a Travis Scott album with a few of his label members here and more like a Cactus Jack album, but I do slightly prefer ... read more

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
92

THEY ADDED BACK THE OG SO BE IT THANK THE LORD ABOVE 🥳🥳🥳

this rating is prone to change, but that was a really good project, a lot of amazing Pharrell beats, great performances by both of these legends, especially for their age. I wish that they had kept the first So Be It tho I liked it so much more

"yeah I mean I wouldn't say Logic is always corny, tho as someone who uses to listen to him religiously in middle school, he can be a cornball, especially when he is ripping off other rappers (ex: the entirety of Everybody or CODM) I'll look into the Cordae album, thanks for the recommendation"
