just kinda mid ngl. it had some bangers but nothing, also was this supposed to be a Halloween album? i know it came out today but only like a couple songs felt spooky
it's a vibey album, just a little bloated and some features I wasn't a fan of, but some bangers too
this is peak bro its just like Pilgrims Paradise and I love it amazing production and amazing lyrics
edit: after relisten this album could grow to AOTY for me, and that means a lot bc im a Weeknd glazer. this is so so good, and thematically deep and dense. sonically its beautiful, lyrically is beautiful yet relatable on a level I didn't expect or realize I needed, especially Touching God. I really appreciate the religious themes and tie ins, they feel tastefully done for being a r&b ... read more
a chill album full of house bangers. my first experience with kaytranada, I'll def be exploring more tho
honestly pretty solid for Ty, if it weren't as bloated and certain songs had better mixes this would be like a solid 70, kinda crazy that this was almost just as good as a Tame Impala project that came out same day too ðŸ˜
Tame Impala fans when Kevin doesn't drop a Currents or Lonerism clone 🤬
edit: im adding this before earlier review. after relisten, this wasn't a bad album at all. the main reason it upset me was because it didn't feel like a Tame Impala album. not even the sound change, I liked all the single that dropped. it's because anybody could have made this album. it's still good music, but 5 years of wait for this is disappointing to say the least. I still do like quite a ... read more
I know this single is so old but i got reminded of it. I loved this song when it first came out. i don't even know why, normally this style of sampling is awful but ts kinda hard ngl
HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUT, this is only the B Side, and for being pop country, this is pretty alright. you can hear a lot of traditional country influence, which makes me hopeful for if Post ever pursues a traditional country album, but there were actually quite a few really good songs
while some of Earls vocal delivery rubs me the wrong way, but there were so many highlight beats and rapping that I did enjoy this. I just wish songs were longer ngl
while I wasn't a huge fan of a couple of tracks, a lot of consistency and quotables, and some great production
how does the album have so many streams? don't get me wrong, it has a few bangers, but I feel like a lot of the production doesn't fit the delivery. he def couldve been the next 50 cent, but in terms of memorable songs, I can only think of 4, and one of them isnt memorable for a good reason (Mood Swings is so freaky ðŸ˜)
now this is what I mean by good country, while the first couple of tracks started slow, the second half had some absolute bangers, including Family Tradition (duh), Only Daddy Will Walk That Line, I Fought the Law, and I've Got Rights. Peak music
performative males LOVE this album until they listen to the lyrics of Mr Eclectic
honestly such a good album, Laufey had made so much progress in terms of songwriting and song structure. this album, while her most pop-leaning, was definitely her most complex in terms of soundscape, with so many different styles explored. my main shock came from how good the song writing was, while some of it definitely wasn't catered towards me, the song concepts and storys were so vividly detailed, while ... read more
