90210-nightcrawler as a 3 track run is absolutely bonkers for a debut studio album. very good. some songs just haven't stuck to me like they have to others, and i don't have any nostalgia for this release, please don't hurt me guys
edit: I had like 3 edits on this, but this album just continues to age so well, this is like peak trap music
hot take, id say late registration is on par with college dropout, i think its more consistent, and i like the jazz influences. also skit 4 brings the score 1 above CD for being 15 years ahead of its time
this album is such a srong dive into Kid Cudi as a person, and is one of my go-to sad albums, its incredible (besides a few stinkers)
im 14 and this is deep type beat. there r a few great songs tho, so ill give it some credit
why is this album not spoken about as much? even further, why is vince staples not spoken about much? like this is so good and so consistent
nostalgia may be blinding me hear, cuz post was like my favorite artist ever back in middle school, but this album had so many bops, and the stinkers werent even that bad. over hatted album
dude the first 10 track run on this was nuts. this feels like im walking in a grimmy dystopian city at night, thank you travis, very cool
edit (87 -> 83): I love the album, but it was way to highly rated for me, oopsies
guys, he made graduation, cmonnnnnn. that being said, barry bonds and drunk and hot girls r over hatted
edit (89 to 95): maybe it's because I just graduated, but this album has gotten even better to me. it aged brilliantly, and honestly Barry Bonds is so overhated. drunk and hot girls isn't greatttttttt, but this project as a whole is bonkers good
CAN WE GET MUCH HIGHER. where is this kanye man, we miss you
edit (96 to 100): I used to think this album was a tad bit over rated, and dint understand why ppl thought this was his best. after many relistens, I've realized it is perfect man. the small beauties I can pick up after each listen like the harmonies or the small production beauties are incredible. every song is amazing, and it really predicted his future, and his fall from grace in a way. this album was ahead of its time, and ... read more
kinda what i expected going into a 21 savage album, but why did he feel it necessary to have so many poop lyrics
win or lose alone is better than the entire original Insano album. that being said, still bloated. good to see there r some good songs, but man, Willis being on this album hurts me
im a die hard kanye fan, but if kanye was removed from this album, the score would at least be a 60. all of his verses either felt unfinished or like he was just trying to be edgy. ty snapped tho. also, title track is overhated
edit 45 -> 58
ok, this album's main issue hasnt changed, however, i have started to warm up to a couple of the songs more, especially after some of the tweaks in the mixes (i can actually kinda hear kanye in hoodrat now). despite the album being more enjoyable, ... read more
amazing experimentation, crazy beats, vince going nuts as always. also Yeah Right goes crazy in the car
edit: 83 -> 87
wow this album is even better with relisten. such a solid experimental experience, felt so disorienting yet captivating, good on you Vince Staples
