eh, i don't know how to feel about this one. some of the songs are really boring (Crush, Suffer) and pretty bland. i can't say i love the sound as a whole. the lyrics are fine. yea, it's an okay record.

my favorite songs are Bury Me and Tristessa

i'm not crazy about it the way others seem to be. a little too Folky for my liking, but there's still a sizable amount of good here.

i don't really know how i feel about the sound of Mr. Buckleys voice. on some of these tracks, it's either irritating or heavenly. as for the sound as a whole, i like. asi said, some songs were a little too far down the spectrum of Folk in my opinion, but the ones that found that perfect blend of Rock with Folk made it worth it. i respect the ... read more

i've only ever known a world where Nirvana had already existed, so it's kinda hard to review this. its just fantastic. you've heard these songs, they're incredible. a lot of them. it's so good. you've listened to it, you know it's good.

my favorite songs are In Bloom, Lithium, Stay Away, and i'll throw in Something In The Way since i love The Batman so much :)

its fine. its not doing a whole lot for me, as i said previously. theres nothing happening that i really dislike, but theres nothing that excites me all that much either. like i said, its fine. 68/100

am i having a bad day or is this album shallow and boring? i like 1 song, and it was Slow Animals. i /kinda/ liked Call it Fate, Call it Karma, just because it was so distinct compared to the other songs.

much better than First Impressions of Earth. fan of this sound. a little experimental, which was awesome. immediately recognized Under Cover of Darkness as something that my boy played me as soon as it started, which made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Two Kinds of Happiness, Taken for a Fool and Life is Simple in the Moonlight were the songs that stuck out to me

although i don't particularly like any of these songs, i also don't think they're doing anything i don't like.

Sly was probably my favorite track

its alright. really drops off in the second half. some of the songs are just really boring.

Juicebox and Razorblade really stuck out to me tho

really enjoyed my time with this (not enough for an 8 tho)

its really loud, gritty and raw. Kurt Cobain has a very interesting sounding voice, and overall i'm a big fan of the entire sound of the album. sludge metal is such a weird way to describe this sound (compliment).
