It took me a year and a half to listen to this album in full since I got it.
In that period, I bought 9 more Opeth albums (I have 12) and saw them live. They are one of my favourite bands of all time.
I have failed.

Great album though

Given its unusually short length and the fact that Sam Loeffler told that it was a struggle to write anything for it gave me some skepticism about this album.

And then Pale Horse played.

Bloody hell, this album surprised me more times than I expected! Out of the whopping 2 Maiden albums that I've listened to so far - the other being Powerslave lol - this is easily my favourite.
