I absolutely love this. This is the album where Devin just goes all wacko mode on us, and it has hints of new Devin Townsend music mixed with the stuff he's already done. There's lots of good variety in the sounds here, like jazz, dance music, and, of course, progressive metal.

Townsend returns with another quality progressive metal release that has a lot of creativity and impact.

I don't know how to feel about this honestly. It was not nearly as good or compelling as ocean machine biomech. I do appreciate the artistry on display here but it borders on excess sometimes.
The album is very theatrical and at times goofy. Dev is such a sincere musician that I can't really fault it too much. I just expected more going into this and for it to sound as cohesive as biomech. All in all, interesting if strange album.
