It definitely doesn't do the genre wrong, and while I appreciate the use of heavy vocals, the moments of rest and softer moments with the singer are the ones that shine the most. All together its sonically there and if this is the EP you cant help but wonder whats next for this Alternative Metal group.
Although I agree to an extent the uninspired almost cookie cutter formula Sleep Token has put themselves in, Progressives can appreciate the genre influences and sounds [although at some times is messy and abrupt, never feeling earned]. Sleep Token has succeeded in one thing, Prog in the mainstream has never looked so good. Also Caramel is good If I ignore the heavy guitars at the end pipe down
Somethin about this being my first discovery on this site in 2020 and now it being 5 years later feels nice and the evolution has been crazy
Cole Chaney creates a beautiful collection of Country ballads that for 2021 still ring true today. A good mix of Love Ballads and the Human Experience.
Two additional tracks are great [im not counting the remixes]
Does it make it a more complete package... not too much but its nice to revisit this album with some bonus goodies. Still a great flowing record with killer features
I like the tracklist in this order a lot more, and the new tracks add a lot to a decent project
