Eminem - Houdini
70

I just am so happy that Eminem is able to just make what he wants. He's past his prime, but he's not letting anyone tell him that to his face, and I appreciate that. A fun song, and I'm excited to see how his newest project will shape up to be.

Kate Nash - Foundations

Contextually, the part that got popular off of TikTok fits. This song is just a decent break up song with some witty lines. Nothing to really applaud, but still better than what I thought it was going to be.

underscores - My guy (Corporate shuffle)

It sounds so familiar, in the best way possible ofc

Dev Lemons - Why Did I Laugh Anyway

Jane Remover - Frailty
100

Why are you doxing those kind individuals
Jane Remover's debut album "Frailty" is a 57 minute masterpiece with so much to uncover. I got to say, for a while I really didn't find this album to be that great. For a long time I found Jane's vocals to be jarring and to never really work with anything she was on, but after revisiting this album a few days ago, I must say that my views have changed drastically. Let's start off with the biggest and most important part of the project, the ... read more

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
95

This is something else
It's hard to undermine how amazing this project is. Despite its 24 minute runtime, this album just is so above and separate from anything I have ever heard to the point where I feel like it only being 24 minutes works well. Every song holds immense weight, with some really getting to you. This project really shines in its production. It's dark, gloomy, strong, beautiful, powerful, and everything in between. I don't really know how to express everything that makes this ... read more

I Set My Friends On Fire - You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter
60

You can't spell pride month without DEMON πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘ΊπŸ˜ˆ
The debut LP of 2000's metalcore project I Set My Friends On Fire is a strange and unique project. Starting off, we have a fine skit, it doesn't really cause any harm to the project, but would I ever want to listen to it ever again? No. We start actually with the music with "Brief Interviews With Hideous Men" which is an alright track. It's inoffensive and is way to short for anything to really happen, which I feel also stays true ... read more

twenty one pilots - Clancy
98

Ill need to relisten to collect my thoughts, but this project, although for some reason feeling underwhelming, still packs a terribly powerful punch and is probably the best way TOP could close this chapter of their music. A beautifully personal record at times, and undeniably groovy and fun during others. It feels grand with stunning production from Paul Meany, bringing back the power that the band so desperately needed after their project Scaled And Icy. I love this band. and I think this ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
90

DARN.
Kendrick Lamar's fourth LP, DAMN., following his acclaimed project To Pimp A Butterfly, despite not living up to the powerful highs of his previous projects, is still a project worth talking about. Off first listen, this album is hard to digest. This project really throws you back and forth with strong fun beats, but will immediately take a sonical change into more introspective sounds and lyrics. If I were to pick out what side of this album I prefer, I'd probably lean towards the more ... read more

Jack Harris - Careful What You Wish For (the doctor said to)

Does this song feel empty at times? Yeah, but there moments where it works, as well as some interesting vocal performances brings a solid listening experience.

Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
95

I guess it's alright.
Knocked Loose's third LP and following their acclaimed EP, "A Tear in the Fabric of Life", is some of the best metalcore this decade and will for sure stand the test of time. Coming in at only 27 minutes long, the project is quick, but not too short to where the project feels inconclusive. The songs "Thirst" and "Sit & Mourn" are stellar bookends to this project, with everything in the middle to just enhance what the first and last track ... read more

Korn - The Path of Totality
50

Huh. That was something.
Korn's 2011 release, "The Path of Totality" is an album that is very much creative and interesting, but more than enough times can fall on itself and it's outdated soundscapes. I find the album starts off strong with Chaos Lives in Everything, introducing this interesting blend of Nu Metal and Dubstep that I find works well on this track. It also helps that this is the first song of the project, making the soundscape fresh and new. It does fall flat though, as ... read more

Brit Smith - Karma's A Bitch
60

Although definitively better than Jojo's release, Karma's a Bitch by Brit Smith still feels very much dated and has the same lyrical issues I had with the song when I fist heard Jojo Siwa's version, even if how Brit Smith performs it is far superior. The production, although also feeling derivative, makes sense as this song was made in the era where this sound was popularized, and even if this was a new song, Brit's produces sure did a hell of a lot better than Jojo's. Overall, a fine track, ... read more

Taylor Swift - Fortnight

This song is really cute and Post works really well on it

JoJo Siwa - Karma
40

This song is overhated i guess???? I physically cannot act like this song is the worst thing ever, but it aint good either. This song could have been better if, idk, it didn't use cliche electropop and dance pop synths that outdate anything that it is in immediately, and also Jojo Siwa as a personality is just... Really Really REALLY bad. I feel like a lot of this hate comes from her, and yeah, i get it. As a song its just boring and feels really derivative of the early 2010's.

Big Baller B - genre : bradboy

i love that the entire project is literally just those bendy sheets of metal and the HiiiiPower sounding ass voice effect. The only god experimental hip hop fr.

Ariana Grande - eternal sunshine
50

who is the other person???
Ariana Grande's first project after her relationship swap is the definition of middle of the road Walmart music. Ariana Grande just sounds so tired over most of these songs, with its washed out beats and sluggish production. Lyrically this thing is. Annoying. She's unapologetic, which, sure, is fine, but it feels really blegh. I don't have much else to say, the only good songs here are i wish i hated you and imperfect for you and that's it.
