Young Americans and Fame are definitely the highlights, but the album is strong throughout. also Fame is in The House That Jack Built (like all throughout it) and thats one of my favorite movies so that makes it even better

maybe i should've saved this for after i listen to some of pink floyds other acclaimed albums because i worry that this, especially Dogs, will outshine them too much. I definitely see this growing on me even more. Dogs gets even more perfect with each listen and I think the Pigs on the Wing tracks are both fantastic and fitting to open and close the album. splendid 🧛

Movie (Never Made) being rated lower than the other songs is strange to me. I really like Efrims vocals and lyrics and thought it was just as good as everything else. Great album, very melancholic in a soothing way. it flowed incredibly well. when listening there were multiple points where it took me a minute to realize the song had changed. I can definitely see this one growing on me more with more listens. the album cover is also fantastic as well.

there were a few weeks back in january 2022 where this was all i listened to. great album, the lyrics can be a bit edgy but i think alot of the time its part of the charm and i don't mind it. the first half up to Not Here really blows away the second half in my opinion. i don't listen to it nearly as much as i used to but still a wonderful album.

really like the album cover and the style of this album is very cool. i got into bauhaus through the man with the x ray eyes in my spotify suggested so this was my first exposure to the band and yeah its very good. the closing track, mask, sounds like xiu xiu to me after the switch in it. it makes sense because jamie stewart was in a bauhaus cover band before xiu xiu so i think its pretty cool that you can kinda hear some of what may have influence his sound. very good album but a couple songs ... read more

life changing mutilated lips is actually fucking crazy was surprised by how much i liked this

got this on cd the other week and introduced it to my little brother and now london calling is his favorite song which makes me happy. great album with some great songs, lost in the supermarket is my favorite.

this version of helpless child feels especially gothic to me, and the album definitely has a slightly different but still similar feel to soundtracks. its different enough for me to see it as its own thing for sure and definitely shouldn't be overlooked

listened to this album for the first time at the perfect time a little over a year ago. it doesn't hit me emotionally as hard as it did then but it doesn't change how wonderful of an album it is. one of the best albums to workout to

killing for company is what really triggered my swans addiction and this album is full of bangers.. i love the gothic rock sound

my favorite album of all time, love this album so goddamn much. found it on a youtube shitpost that had Roland in it and i fell in love with it from there. i listened to it through some of the worst points in my life and ive always felt a special connection to every song on here. my favorite album ever and i dont see ever see that changing. review may be a mess so apologies, this is my first time leaving an actual review but yeah wonderful album i love you mr paul banks
