Evolution

Sighhh I was certainly hoping for something a little more flavourful with this new era, DCC was fun in the sense that it was different for the band, and despite being a weaker sound it was still very enjoyable. This new album seems to be returning to the heavier rock, which is great and all, but I’d welcome it more if it wasn’t so run of the mill, especially being the lead single. I fear it doesn’t stand out in their discography quality wise, it’s just fine, a fine rock song. As always, I really enjoy Connor’s vocals and the higher energy has always worked well for the band, and im willing to let this song grow on me like the previous era did, but I hope that this just serves as the hype song to get people pumped for the new cycle and doesn’t fully represent the sound of the album, as I know this band can really capture my attention.
