this is a journey to say the least. one of the most experimental and expressive songs I've ever heard and it's all instrumental. absolutely astonishing production with some of the craziest stuff I've heard in a WHILE.
got slightly tiring at some points but overall a great listen showing lots of talent and emotions.
this is a tragic life story told through absolutely genius lyricism and powerful word play from an extremely talented individual. absolutely astonishing.
when listening to this record you can tell the closing track (what we did in the desert) is the magnum opus of this LP although the rest does shine where it's needed and sounds very lush and beautiful.
this isn't just someone making music for fun. this is real passion. this is why I love music, it's art. aoty 2025!
I can definitely understand why tyler wants you up and moving to this album. groovy vibey album, and while it's nothing special it's still a fun listen and worth the time.
this isn't just a collection of some of the greatest sludge tracks to date. it's a man slowly losing his mind through the course of his music. sickened by the world and the things we do.
Mac Demarco is not what you'd expect. this album presents such a calming and serene atmosphere and some beautiful progression. the songwriting is excellent and Mac shows his true potential. absolutely fucking astonishing. moonlight on the river is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
take all the great ideas and songwriting of weatherday, and mix them with all the amazing mixing and shoegaze masterminding of asian glow. truely an amazing album executed so well.
some of the slower sections and autotune can get a bit jarring at some points but when I say the highest points of this album are fucking astonishing i mean it.
some of the most insane, mindblowing production I've heard in my life, it's so heavy and rich. along with some insane rapping and flow. genuinely amazing.
I was hoping this would be ass so I could say "cat soup... more like cat poop!!!" and I would've been really funny and cool and awesome but it's not ass 😿. ANYWAYS, I think this is a pretty great sophomore LP and shows major growth from the last album. solid overall but still has a lot of flaws.
my 250th album !!! this is overall just an extremely solid hip hop album, it hits all the boxes and does it really well. it also has the mandatory breakcore beat so you can't go wrong with it. very peak !!!!!
some of the most insane chugs and blast beats you'll ever hear, paired with some mind bending production and mixing.
not bad especially for a debut, but the autotune and the mixing can get jarring at some points.
the impossible task of following up to one of the most iconic and beloved rock albums of all time and they were able to not disappoint at all. one of the greatest prog rock albums of all time. very expressive and very well made.
why the fuck was this not the first thing from kendrick i got reccomended? this is infinitely better than the other two I was reccomended (don't flame me please) I really enjoy this. there's so much soul on this LP it just makes you feel it. I get the glaze for this album for sure. amazing production and rapping on this very peak.
so unbelievably mediocre. kanye can't sing, kanye can barely rap, a lot of these lyrics disgust me and it feels like a shitpost at some parts. I don't get any of the hype. it's a dark twisted fantasy but it sure as hell isn't beautiful
