Even the music video is just a montage of a bunch of people dancing to it it’s like they knew this song was gonna bang
Toad’s Turnpike, Choco Mountain and Rainbow Road are legendary tracks
Kelly knows how to deliver powerful lines that seem simple on paper. A highlight of MOL for sure
Her most consistent album of her 80s work, and her voice is beautiful
I see the vision and definitely note the change in sound from the 80s to the early 90s. This album is all over the place. Cyndi’s most beautiful ballads come from this album but it also has some tracks that are kinda boring. And theres something really weird about putting Christmas in a title of a non Christmas song but it’s not a big deal

I wish Madonna had a whole album like this song. I love Ray of Light but it's a very ambient, reflective and at times cold album. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to ROL. This is an easy and fun listen
Drop in the ocean is super underrated
Best: Everywhere, Goodbye to You, You Set Me Free, You Get Me, Drop in the Ocean
78 -> 85
My pop fried brain really struggled to understand this album at first. Idk if it’s the season change or repeated listens but I kinda do get it now
The feel I get from the tracks ranges from human and familiar (Alarm Call) to ice cold and alien (Pluto) and they’re all great, especially the first 4 tracks and the last 3. There’s no way Madonna wasn’t inspired by Homogenic for Ray of Light, the parallels are there
Favorites: Joga, Pluto, Alarm Call
This album was done DIRTY it has a niche to it that no other Mariah album carries. it's very cozy and personal. If you don't go into this album expecting a Butterfly or TEOM performance you'll enjoy it :)
Favorites: Boy (I need you), The One, You had Your chance, Lullaby
