It’s just fun. Jet Black Heart/Outer Space are genuinely goated tho
Hooooly. Such a consistent track list in a 1h long Pop album is legit unheard of.
When the reviewers calling this an iconic masterpiece have to clarify that THEY ARE NOT JOKING you know how bad this shi is.
Well he’s dead so I can calmly like this now knowing it will not make him money
Every single 90's hip hop album suffers from being too long, change my mind.
This still doesn't prevent it from having some quality gems though.
If this shi was released by Swans or Godspeed it'd have like a 99 user score frfr
Objectively very beautiful record, I'm just not big into ambient and minimalist music. Still enjoyable for a relaxing time
Certainly better than the original ''Powers that B'' music and retroactively heightens the score of that one. Still not DG at its best.
A classic example of going way too hard on your experimental side, whilst forgetting to make actual enjoyable music in the meantime.
It's a very interesting record, but most of it (specially CD1) gives me no reason to return to it. It almost feels like a rogue like Death Grips CD: Every typical Death Grips trope and sample randomly generated into a track. This isn't enjoyable, it's just a bunch of incoherent sounds.
CD2 does bring some more interesting songs but it is nothing ... read more
It wastes all its bullets in its first half. Makes for a VERY unbalanced record
Agreed with the general consensus that this is good but a bit all over the place. By the time it's finishing up, it has completely run out of energy/ideas.
Such a pleasant surprise of an EP. Love how much it sounds like Apocalyptica's songwriting with Kirk's riffs/solos thrown in, it's a great mix.
My relationship with Charly Garcia is so weird. This is an unescapable artist growing up in Argentina, you are consuming him passive- or actively since you are born.
This normally leads to a bunch of memories of your childhood and some nostalgia about the songs. But my experience is it just kinda sets off an alarm of "Please, for the love of god, you've heard this so many times before. Stop".
What's supposed to be the 80's charm just feels like outdated songwriting ... read more
