Not nearly as memorable. Seems like a scrapped B-sides from the demo tape earlier in January. Also, Darby McCormick beats women, so fuck this band.
This is the perfect emoviolence album, and is easily Orchid’s best work. This is broken music. This is sad to listen to and even worse to emphasize with, but you can’t help but relisten. So many of these songs I’ve played over and over again, as loud as I can on a car stereo, taught myself on guitar by ear to impress myself for once, memorized these lyrics for the sake of knowing something more beautiful than I could ever come up with on my own. This album is violently ... read more
genuinely just overproduced coworker music
corny as fuck and gets old very VERY quickly
-1 point for adherence to my scale
The perfect Radiohead album. Nearly every song is an absolute emotional masterpiece. Hell, Nude along sends this up to at least an 85. A beautiful, artful masterpiece of modern rock. Certainly deserves its acclaim. A must listen for any music fans. I have nothing new to say about this album.
it was some okay mathcore, but the noise elements ended up just taking away from it. there’s potential in the sound, but this just sounds incredibly bland to me. fuck ton of ideas smashed together with poor coordination.
aw shucks!
the songs on their own, i feel, serve a PURPOSE… BUT they would, to be honest, most definitely work better as being like one-off tracks on a full album or EP that has their usual sass/emoviolence/metalcore sound and contrast with it. but, because they’re all together like this, i really can’t look at it any different than i would some other low-effort kittencore mathy slop from 2023–2025. and it pains me to say it, because i just saw that this had came out ... read more

T-These are my friends!
I h-have their backs!🤞🥹
They are the closest thing to blood that I have..😖
In all seriousness:
Ts genuinely terrible 😠metallic hardcore for self-pitying deadbeat dads
Decent, albeit generic instrumentation, but these are genuinely the worst lyrics and vocals I have EVER heard. This is the corniest thing I’ve listened to in a MINUTE. Thank GOD it’s short. Absolute slop.

AI slop and piece of shit artist. not even real emoviolence. 0/100, got duped, we live in hell.
this is just extremely generic. pop punk or "i learned guitar a month ago" chord progressions just sped up really fast to mask poor songwriting on both sides' part. not a fan, personally
This band will never miss, every live performance, every song, everything I've seen of them is without compare to any other modern screamo band. I'd put this up there with Orchid and Combatwoundedveteran as far as best screamo bands of all time. Absolutely incredible EP. Heartwrenchingly chaotic and noisy. Love it.
This sounds like a Zoloft-induced anxiety attack at eleven o'clock at night and the anger you take out on someone else, all at once.
Every song is good, and a vibe, but every song seems kinda like the same vibe... just very same-y throughout. I feel like this didn't need to be twenty-nine minutes. Good material and ideas, seemed almost rushed in execution, though?
I don't even know what to say about this album. Everyone else has already said everything meaningful I could ever think about it. This is a perfect album, start to finish. Every song is a new type of indescribable sadness that overwhelms you. Every time I listen to this, I have to stop afterward; there's no music that can follow this. This is the logical conclusion to sound. From the moment the warmth of the synths on A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticut begins, ... read more
Not a big fan of overproduced post-hardcore like this or Touché Amoré. Just sounds uninspired. Good enough as background music, though. I wouldn't complain if it was in a movie, or playing in the car, or something.
This is probably the best example of early grindcore I've yet heard. I love the bass and guitar tones, and the energy of it all. Great record in the spaces of both punk and metal, though I feel it leans more towards its punk roots than its metal ones. Not a bad thing, by any means. Great album.
This album makes me feel things. It makes me weak in the knees. Maybe it's just her voice; maybe it's the tone that this all lays on top of me, but this is an album where every song is near-perfect (with the exception of the closer [I found the lyrics to be a bit corny, and the song itself droning]). Plus, it reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, which I grew up watching, so I'm predisposed to like music like this.
He is GENUINELY just screaming his brains out ðŸ˜
But seriously, if it weren't for those vocals, this album would probably be in the high 70s. Unfortunately, the vocals are present, diluting what would be an otherwise extremely solid black metal album. I loved the hints of doom metal scattered; they really contributed to the kind of 'given up' or generally dark atmosphere. Still a listenable album, just not quite as good as it could be.
It's not bad at all, but it can get very repetitive, and some songs, especially on the first half of the record, feel very bland or empty. There's a great atmosphere here, though. The second half of the record, in full, is very good; every song is memorable or at least succeeds in carrying the aforementioned atmosphere forward. Great album for late night drives or walks.
A little short, but extremely powerful. Went in blind, not realizing that the continuous play at the end of this was just the same fourteen songs in one track.
HONG KONG FUCK YOU, HONG KONG FUCK YOU AGAIN
WILD powerviolence. Very good, considering the lineup as my only concern beforehand.
I’m prefacing this review just by saying I’m biased towards this band; they’re a massive part of my local hardcore scene and I’ve seen them live three times since I started getting involved here in October of 2025. I was at the release party for this, and the energy that this band has live is unmatched; with that being said, this demo encapsulates that energy just the same as the stage. I’d expect a demo to limit the quality that something could have, but, ... read more
