jev. - when angels cry.

ALICE. might be one of the hardest songs of this decade.

jev. to me reminds me of Kendrick Lamar, which is a great thing but a bad thing at the same time. He resembles Kendrick a bit too much. And while this was a solid project, I think some of these songs felt unfinished, and I think jev. could also work on being more unique and stand out from competitiors. I found him on TikTok and he is really good, and I overall really liked some of the songs here.

The production is great! I didn't ... read more

Autoheart - Punch

Fun little set of tracks showing early 2010 indie rock and pop. They're really catchy and I like the production on some of these. I really like the voice of Autoheart's singer and overall this was a really solid listen some tracks stood out more to me than others, in the start it was a mix, the middle was strong. Sailor Song is breathtaking but it drops a little in quality in the end (excluding the last two songs) None of them are bad tracks however. For an introduction to this band ... read more

Charli xcx - BRAT

I feel like kissing guys. I'm a straight man.

Newly found taste, I suddenly like electropop. Charlie xcx sounds so good here, I like the voice, the production is insane, and not a single bad track here except one semi-decent one (Mean girls) and only because it dragged on too long. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the album, and rhis entire album is just a vibe icl.

Drake - ICEMAN
75

For me i love drake because of his replayability, solid rapping skills, phenomenal production, nice voice, and most of all relatability that he offers in his old albums. So when ICEMAN is presented with a Michael Jackson glove and the knowledge that his lyrics transitioned from problems I related to, to now rapping about the same successes that he got and the personality of "switch up on the boy" and the endless rants about fame and money, I lose the factor of relatability.

Travis Scott - UTOPIA

I've seen the first reaction clips on TikTok for this album and holy shit were they so funny, especially Kai Cenat on Telekenisis. This album is pretty good but is a little incosistent at the end with great songs with less great ones. Overall really enjoyable and one of the better trap albums that came out this year. It's clear why this album is super liked!

Holy features how many connections does Travis have?

KATSEYE - BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

I think Katseye has some bangers but this wasn't it mostly. Gabriela was actually pretty good, gnarly not so much.

Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D
97

Emotionally fun. I like fun. Don't we all? And yet its sad. And relatable. Some of my favorite production all time. Thank you so much @Sunset0248. This album actually gives me strong Epic Minigames vibes from Roblox, if you guys know what that is.

Everything about this, first listen, did not keep me bored. It went from catchy hype beats with some badass and explosive production, and it slowly drizzles down into some soulful and emotional tracks with quieted down tracks. Really well put, ... read more

Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
93

When I was little, I was unfamiliar with American music as much because I listened to more native songs from my culture. One of the first movies I watched when I moved to the US was Sing. Sing is special to me because thats when I started to explore music outside my culture. My family loved the movie as well, and we would bump the Sing tracklist for months. So when I heard Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing, it hit me like a TRUCK.

Don't get me wrong, nostalgia definetely plays a ... read more

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

Nearly 60 years later, and an album with truly a quality. Really well-put songs with great, atmospheric bouncy production and vocals that seemingly drag on but still sound great nevertheless. Reminds me of the Smiths and the Beatles, and I would be lying if I said I did not enjoy this classic. Sounds like May and Summer

U2 - The Joshua Tree

I might've finally found what I was looking for.

Red Hill Mining Town might be one of the best rock songs I've ever heard. Can't believe they took 30 years to perform it live for the first time. The vocals are absolutely stunning and uplifting, the instrumental is chilling, and it's simply just so pure and perfect. Great songs on this album, including the classics such as I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and Where the Streets Have No Name. Worth ... read more

Bruiser Wolf - PUSH & PAINT

This is laughably bad. Features save this album but the flow does NOT change at all. The lyricism is so terrible it strikes me as humorous, and I don't even care too much about lyrics usually. Production is meh. Numbers is so funny though, I can't 😭😭😭

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
94

AIN'T IT FUNNY HOW IT HAPPENS????

One of the most exhilirating, drug-popping, and wildest hip hop albums that my ears have been blessed upon. I will admit, his voice does take a bit to adjust to, but it grows on me, especially after Ain't It Funny. That song was on repeat for me for a long time. The production on this LP is simply absurd and energetic, this is perfect for the gym and anything hyper. It also feels like I am in Danny Brown's crazy mind after he goes high from ... read more

J. Cole - The Fall-Off

Dawg it's like 12:00 am these artists gotta stop dropping at midnight on a weekday πŸ₯Ή

When J. Cole said this was his last album, I expected it to be this legendary, huge collab album that breaks records. It is anything but that. Although the album didn't live up to its HYPE, by NO MEANS NECESSARY does it not make it a great album. Honestly, this is some of the most personal J. Cole I have ever heard. The lackluster of features did make it a bit underwhelming but even albums like ... read more

This guy dating Kali Uchis btw 😭🀞and then proceeded to make Body

Listening to this album while writing my PF Case for Speech and Debate, and its got a lot of bangers for sure. He went Alternative R&B here??? (Long Way To Calabasas) and I'm all in for it, and this seems different from his other albums too. I really liked the hardcore, rock-styled instrumentals he did back in Hardstone Psycho, but he seemed to do something different here from the rest. He clearly seemed to put his ... read more

A great sophomore and sequel album to arguably one of the best hip hop albums ever released to date. Nas continues to shine and show his talent with smooth flow, rhymes, and descriptive and consistent storytelling. Solid features asw. Also the album cover is scaring me lmao

Most majestic pieces of art my ears have laid upon from this decade. Definetly album of 2025. Absolutely mindblown by the lyricism and the wisdom and the musicals. First impression on Redveil and yeah hes definetly a 10/10 emerging, genius of an artist. Loved it loved it loved it!!!!
