For me this is my perfect album. For some reason I keep coming back to this album and I can't place my finger on why exactly I love it so much. It could be the lead singers unique voice, it could be the building of a chorus in multiple songs/ the eerie yet fun instrumentals. Or it could just be that its plain good. Regardless I'm so happy that this album exists.
Such a great example of 2010s indie pop, fit with a few fun carefree tracks, but predominantly devastating ones. Heartbreaker is a perfect closer and a staggeringly good example of a pop ballad done right, which is an area that I feel the bigger modern pop musicians tend to struggle with outside of, literally maybe just, Billie Eilish. The air of sadness in Punch makes it all the more substantial and lyrically interesting, but its pop approach never makes the album too heavy.

Nothing out there sounds like Autoheart. This band is a shining example of Indie Pop at its best, and punch is their finest work. Each song fires on a different cylinder while still having a consistent sound that never fails to be intriguing to the ear.
