A funky album that is a bit too quirky and inconsistent for me. The tunes that I vibe with are very catchy though.
Feels like a mashup of his previous few albums. Nothing groundbreaking but high quality throughout.
One of the better posthumous albums. While not as good as the other two, it still manages to holds its own among them.
Beautiful, but some songs are too inconsistent for my taste. Wish some better ideas here were fleshed out more instead of changing each track three times.
Deserves all the praise, very modern for its time.
Not egregiously bad, just overall average and not very many highs. The attempts at 'shock value' would have been executed better if the concept was fleshed out more but it really wasn't.
Like Dreamland, I can see the theme and I feel like the songs are consistent and make sense in their production. However, the lyrics and vocals are disappointing and the production makes this album samey and boring.
Sadly liked the bay a lot more than this one. A lot of songs feel like they lack something and vocals sound unpolished.
A lot of great and interesting ideas here, I really like how Stromae isn't afraid to experiment with production. This makes him one of the more unique artists in my opinion. However, I feel like the album is quite frontloaded. Around the half way point the tracks start to be a bit more melllow and 'low key' making the end of the album a lot less interesting than the beginning.
Beautiful, really like this new direction Yachty is going. Also Midnight is one of the best songs of the year for me.
This is not what I usually listen to but I have to say that it's pretty alright! Not something I'd listen to by choice most of the time but it's great background music and there's something to appreciate in every track. Now some songs are a bit too long in my opinion and the album as a whole sounds a bit samey, but hey that's just jazz probably and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Maybe once I listen to more albums in this genre and acquire a ... read more
Overall a step down from Tako Tsubo. A lot of songs sound a bit barebones for me and because of that there aren't a lot of tracks I'd return to. Nevertheless, it's still a groovy listen (though I expected a bit more).
Good vibes and the energy is there, but they don't have much to say. You'll have a good time as long as you don't expect too much from it.
