It's alright I guess? Not bad or good enough to be memorable. Don't see myself returning to this.
Very soothing and beautiful, just have to be in the right mood for it.
Singles were really good and while the other songs aren't terrible, it ends up being as a slight disappointment.
Not as good as overcompensate in my opinion but still a fun slapper.
Phenomenal, just a bit too melancholic and not something I'd like to listen to every time. The praise is warranted though.
It pretty damn great! Not really worth the near perfect score for me though, I feel like certain songs lack identity and I would've liked a more varied set of songs (probably why Hallelujah stands out so much for me). Anyway, as an album listening experience, I can't complain much.
So far the weakest 'modern' Beatles record. It's still without a doubt great, but Sgt. Pepper felt more realized than this one.
Her voice is beautiful but the production, while good, gets a bit samey towards the end of the album.
Very consistent and magical. One of their best ones for sure.
Besides the first two songs, this is really mediocre. But hey, it's only uphill from here.
At this point it's hard to create a synthpop album that feels fun and unique and I think Allie X delivers here, mostly. Some songs are just not there for me lyrically and a couple just feel derivative and not very exiting. That being said, songs like Weird World, Off With Her Tits and Black Eye are definite standouts.
For me this is on the same level as rubber soul - a mostly consistently great album that stumbles in a couple of places. Crazy to hear such a change in quality over the course of a couple of years.
A very pleasant album that has a couple of standout tracks - 'The Look' and 'The Bay'. The rest of the tracks are alright, but not very memorable, especially the ones in the second half of the album.
Another good record from MGMT, it just sadly does not reach the same heights as Little Dark Age.
It's pretty enjoyable, but like everyone else mentioned - Caravan Palace have a tendency to make a few amazing tracks and then fill the rest of the album up with filler. Nevertheless, the filler here isn't all too bad and the highs here might be the best of their whole discography.
Earlier Beatles records have a tendency to have a few great tracks and few duds dispersed around them. This is the first Beatles album where majority of the songs are great. Still, a couple of songs are just OK, but with the short runtime they hardly ruin the experience.
