Never felt an album fall off so fast. The first five songs are good (for nostalgia reasons mostly), but the rest is so bad, I don't even wanna listen to it again to rate the rest of the tracks.
Just did not vibe with this as much as their previous record. Felt like vocals (which I really liked) are overall worse here and most of the songs are way less catchy.
The less popular songs are pretty good, but the more well known ones are phenomenal.
It has a few bangers, I ain't gonna lie. But the problem with electro swing in general is that it is good in short bursts - album full of tracks will start feeling samey at the end.
Wore off for me over time. While most songs are still great (especially 'bury a friend' and 'i love you'), there are moments where you can't help but cringe. Maybe I just grew out of it.
Moonchild overstays its welcome but you can't deny that it's a classic.
While individual songs are OK, overall this is pretty generic rock & roll record. Not a bad album per se, but no wonder why this isn't brought up much while discussing The Beatles discography.
It's alright, a bit of a step up from his previous work but with it only being 24 minutes it already feels like he doesn't have much to say.
Like always, vocals aren't Glass Animal's strongest suit, but it isn't nearly as bad here as Dreamland and the production here kills it. Now I kinda understand why people were so upset with their next album.
I like how 'locked-in' this album is into it's theme. While some albums try to do that, they tend to end up stale or I start to lose interest by the end. Not here though.
While not as unique as the first album, this is still full of funky and groovy bangers. Also "Medicine" might be my favourite Dayglow song full stop.
A good album with some nice bangers. It does feel dated at times, but that just might be because I grew out of my Skrillex phase 10 years ago.
Lil bro really made the same album 5 times.
Same over dramatic lyrics and productions, same songs about "going against all odds" and "not caring about the haters". The sad part is that NF is such a non factor in the hip hop scene that he is forgotten a day after his "new" album drops.
A couple songs are OK as workout music but it's just all the same man...
Pretty much on par with the first one, providing some amazing and relaxing beats. I miiiight prefer the first one a tad bit but that might change with time. Luv(Sic.) Part 3 is phenomenal.
Sometimes I feel like I get what they are going for here. Songs like Tokyo Drifting, Your Love, Helium and even Dreamland (might be my guilty pleasure from this album) are pretty decent. Heat Waves, even if overplayed, feels like a god damn oasis at the end of the album.
The problem is that half the time the lyrics are hot ass. Take Space Ghost Coast To Coast for example. The beat is decent but the lyrics make me feel like I'm listening to AJR's long lost cousins. Half the songs are so ... read more
