Slayr's been on a really good run lately. Hope this is just a fluke cuz this wasn't great. Obviously its just a freestyle so its not gonna be as good as his other songs but it felt weird to hear slayr and feel little to nothing. The beat is so whatever and the lyrics really do sound like they just came off the dome. JPEGMAFIA's most mixed bag.
Whenever I first heard this album, I was like 14 and loved it. Having listened to it plenty since, I cannot say the same. There are parts of this album that I really like and then there are parts that almost equally counter that for me. I love the experimentation on this project but, in my personal opinion, most of it isn't for me (Whole Foods is a good example of this). Man, this album is so fucking good. It is insane to me that with every release he manages to evolve his already diverse sound. When I first heard this album, the last thing I was expecting was a rap rock sound from JPEGMAFIA of all people.
