Has some absolute BANGERS, but the rest of the album is just decent at best, so it balances out. Walkin' Back to Georgia, Time in a Bottle, You Don't Mess Around With Jim, and Operator carry this album.
You can NOT be unhappy while listening to this. Literally just the best feel-good music out there. Truly makes me feel so nice. Great flute playing or whatever kind of jugs they’re using, and such a constant album. Every track is just so good and it never drags or gets fatiguing to listen to. It keeps you engaged and having a good time through the whole listen!
It's okay. There is some great bass and drum playing, but my lord, are those vocals abrasive. He sounds like a squealing chipmunk on speed. I just can't get over the vocals. Makes sense that my favorite track was by far "a over die"
Immensely talented musicians and their musical knowledge are clearly displayed on this LP, but there is absolutely NO reason for there to be two over twenty-minute-long tracks. Each song doesn't flow on its own or justify its insane length. It kind of just drifts along and never really reaches a destination. Some great moment for sure but holy fucking shit I hate everything about whoever is playing the saxophone. They have the most nauseating tone of all time and they are the defitnioj of a one trick pony with their incessant religion of the same lick at NASEUM.
