alot of the album kinda didn't do anything too crazy for me, but the title track was kinda a banger tho
Never have I felt so disapointed & bored
Uninteresting and muddy beats
Weak and tired vocal performance
Good lyrics can only go so far
Ghais PLEASE lock back in
Incredibly Inconsistent and weird, but Opposite Lanes is a generational banger so I can't complain that much.
Memphis Rap Album #4: MISTA THUG ISOLATION
(I must confess that I've been wanting to listen to this album long before I started listening to Memphis Rap/Horrorcore Albums bc I was listening to all the notable Experimental Hip-Hop albums)
Genuinely one of the best and most uniquely produced Hip Hop albums I have ever heard. A perfect fusion of Horrocore, Memphis Rap, and Experimental Hip Hop (With Hints of Jazz Rap & Cloud Rap esque production).
Holy shit.
Memphis Rap Album #3: (Wait I'm white I can't say this word)-z of Destruction
Another Mephis rap album that doesn't have an official spotify release (Still easy to find on Internet archive and evidently Soundcloud)
It's refreshing hearing a Memphis rap album with a production value greater than that of the price of 7 sticks of cellary after listening to The Single. Has some of the most unique production I've heard so far, primarially In the intro and outro tracks. ... read more
I feel like this is what carti fans be talking about when they say that lyrical rap is boring
The album is pretty good, but the vocals and production feel bored. Kinda lyrically impressive, but largely sonically uninteresting.
Thanks to @INTRO for recommending this
Genuinely such a vibe, super enjoyable. I swear ts felt soul enrichening
Fav track was easily End of the Universe
Memphis Rap Album #2: The Single
Finding a propper version of this album was a decent bit more of a pain than it should've been, because apparently no one felt like propperly preserving it on streaming (The 30th anniversary version doesn't fucking count ts seems so fucked up, just download it off internet archive or something)
The album itself sounds like it was recorded with a fucking broken microwave, and was recovered from a buried egyptian tomb. But the album is some awesome ... read more
