Absolutely godlike. Or should I say ungodlike? On Symbolic, Death arguably perfect multiple strains of death metal before they even come to fruition. Countless modern death metal bands owe their very existence to this masterpiece. One of the greatest albums of all time.
Man have I been late for the party. This album would have been an absolute life changer for me in middle school when Slipknot and Bullet For My Valentine were the bands I considered the most hardcore and when I was at my peak in edginess. I wish I'd known about Death 10 years ago.

There are simply no flaws, the musicianship and attention to detail are just perfect. I typically would make my reviews a lot longer than this but I have no more words for this album. Simply a masterpiece

Death are one of those bands where I always commend them for their phenomenal guitar playing, and here I believe they show it off more than ever. Every one of these songs have a ... read more
