"The Lion and the Cobra" is an absolutely incredible album packed full of raw emotion and energy. Fundamentally, this is what music is supposed to be like.
The album opens with “Jackie,” a hauntingly intense song that immediately grabs the listeners attention, showcasing O'Connor’s dynamic vocal range as she begins with a soft, almost ethereal tone that still manages to give off a feeling of angst and bottled up rage.

Charli XCX returns with a surprisingly fresh take on the cultural phenomenon known as "brat."
I personally wasn't a very big fan of the original album on release; it has grown on me some as months have passed since its release, but I'm still not the biggest fan. Going into this album, I had very low expectations, and initially I just listened for the Caroline Polachek remix, but as I kept listening, I realized I actually strongly preferred the remix album to the original. ... read more
