Fatt Smaxk - Smaxk Or Die

Is Carti trying to become a lil baby type rapper or what?

Drake - HABIBTI
38

A couple of good songs, but sleepy overall. Some pretty poor vocals as well, from someone who used to be renowned for his voice

Drake - ICEMAN

You know what, it’s alright. Sure, there are some corny shots at Kendrick etc. But, there are some good songs like Make Them Cry, which actually has some surprisingly reflective introspections. That one’s making my playlist for sure. The main problem with this album (aside from how out of touch the disses are) is the curation. Many songs seem genuine, but then there’s songs with weird voices like Little Birdie (don’t ask me what he was thinking on that one) or times when ... read more

Edmund Wilson - Reconcile Demos

Whoever gave this zero fuck you

Yeat - ADL

Yeat is now the spurs of rap. Always a big name but never the biggest. One big, wrong mistake turns into a horrible mess and now we don’t know what’s next.

Nettspend - early life crisis

It’s pretty good with some crazy bangers but a few too many throwaways for such an anticipated album

slayr - Half Blood (BloodLuxe)

Finally aoty appreciating heat

J. Cole - The Fall-Off

This is so good. So many songs gave me chills on first listen

Feng - Weekend Rockstar

He distributed it under “normalisperfect”. Checks out.

Don Toliver - OCTANE

Some absolute bangers like e85 and secondhand, some boring mid like atm and body dragging them down

fakemink - The Boy who cried Terrified .

I love mink, but idk about this. Milk and honey is amazing, wraith9 really stepping up since fidelio. But there’s a lot of songs im not sure about and I think he somewhat lost his aesthetic. I’m still really hyped for terrified because it’s going to be fully self produced and no samples so it should be a completely different, unique sound, at least I hope so. But, if you listen to this as an intro to mink and aren’t impressed, I guarantee there’s MUCH better in his ... read more

Not bad but nothing crazy

Daniel Lopatin - Marty Supreme (Original Soundtrack)

timothee should’ve made them put Fakemink on ts

Polo G - Hood Poet Black Heart Edition

Polo g = Jadon Sancho in football terms, here’s why:
Both burst onto the scene in 2019
Both had a very good run for a couple of years tipped to be the next big thing
Both ruined their careers with poor decisions (no album for 3 years with polo and move to Utd for Sancho)
Both are now still dwindling along pulling out the same tired tricks, albeit to a significantly reduced audience

This album was a fun listen for me as he hasn’t changed one bit so it was somewhat nostalgic as ... read more

Lil Baby - The Leaks

Removed skooly verse and mixed the song properly from the leak🔥🔥🔥

Polo G - High Tolerance

Was this mixed at all the vocals sound like they were recorded on voice memos and screen recorded and put on a YouTube trap type beat with CapCut or smth smh

SoFaygo - MANIA
62

Sofaygo is Jadon Sancho as a rapper. Both burst onto the scene in 2019, both were for a few years considered the next big talent to properly burst onto the seen with age. Now, both are just about doing enough to satisfy their fans but nothing to really expand their horizons. Mixtape instead of an album after a 2 year wait sounds like a loan move to Aston Villa to me. Not to say songs like monster don’t show glimpses of talent, but sancho shows skill every now and then, the story just ... read more

Drums on this are so ahh

DJ Snake - Nomad

"@Ves I see. I have two questions; one, how did you come across the niche gem that is edmund? And two, upon discovering such a find, what implored you to have your ears blessed both lyrically and sonically, yet still claim not to enjoy a song that is ultimately one of the peaks of human creativity?"

"@solace333 ik braces appeals to mainstream, still good. This is just bad. No hate to esdee, he’s good but mink shouldn’t just copy him. If it came off as an esdee dislike I don’t mean it like that but he is definitely more familiar than mink. He’s clearly dropped his aesthetic on this one for wraith9 and we’ve heard it all on rebel (which is good btw but we don’t need mink spamming more of it)"
On fakemink - Fidelio
"@solace333 mate, this has way less substance to it than his older stuff. There’s a reason esdee kid is growing faster than mink without crazy co-signs; his music is much easier to digest. This is so similar to esdee and not as unique as songs off london’s saviour or earlier singles"

On Kendrick Lamar - GNX
"@Tudor06 I am music and Gnx are both mid projects from great artists (yes carti is a great artist, whole lotta red started a subgenre) that were dumbed down and lost their edge. Carti showed rare glimpses of his old self with songs like I seeeeee you baby boi which was very experimental. For Kendrick it was wacced out murals. After that Cartis weak lyricism was extremely noticeable on basic Atlanta trap beats and Kendrick hopped on basic trap beats and r and b, pretty much like Drake. I think 60 is fair for both because there are good songs on each but mostly a whole lotta mid"
