My son and I are each picking albums to listen to and rate every week. This is his for the week and I'm glad he picked it. It's my first time listening to a full Big K.R.I.T. album. I'd heard some singles and features before and I knew I generally thought he was pretty good, there's just so much music out there that I hadn't gotten to his discography yet. I'll definitely be taking a deeper dive into his other stuff after listening to this one.

This album is a bit nostalgic for me. "Gangster of Love" was the first explicit rap song I ever heard. I was 10 so it was a bit shocking, which is what The Geto Boys did at the time, shock people. They may be the original horrorcore rap group, I'm not sure, but they were definitely the first I got into. This album shows it's age but I enjoyed listening to it.
