i've never listened to andrew bird but this piqued my interest
is it a good point in his discography to start?

I’d say its a very satisfying album in its own right so sure, could definitely start here.

I’ve reviewed/rated his others here so check my opinions on them - but I think as he’s released a top half discog quality album this year you might as well check it first.

Also the go-to singer/song writer for incorporating whistling into his tunes ;)
