For me as my first full listen to the dude. He has impressed me with some songs.. production and beat selection was good and well polished as well but it seemed like this album was longer than it should be
It's really not bad for a listen or two. A few songs I like and production sounds crisp on top of that.
Ryan went off on half of the songs and production was good for being a Ryan Oakes album. Collabs were good too and been bumping his shit for years now. Crazy how improved he's been
30 tracks is something that I kinda didn't expect but I also expected to be his best work and to me it is and I'm nowhere near a fan of his shit but honestly I wanted to give him one more chance. The collabs on the album carried it hard and honestly for having a powerhouse of a list that's what really happened. Playboi tho came with a more of an adrenaline vibe, and more Rage into his catalog which to me it wasn't horrible but man I still don't know how he this big. A ... read more
Album had a chill vibe and that's nothing new with this par but sort of a pleasant surprise for them to drop this... Production by The Alchemist is always crisp and smooth. As for the two artists they be making nice storytelling songs together.
I'm glad the original group is back together to put out an album and a tour which hey I get to see them in March 7th gonna be a crazy experience. Anyways with this album out at first a lil slow but that's nothing new with me with there albums but the second half of the album gathered my attention and man the finally two tracks were a great way to end it. Overall it's a good album by this band. Nothing more nor less.
Top three best albums they've made into there discography this holds #3 on that list.
The band has been through so much as a whole and you can tell they were gonna go emotional into this and I was right. The album today is a hidden gem and a good listen.
The album was nicely done. To end the 2010's to me it was nice to end the era with one more album. Chapter five album was great for me so for them to bring back another good one brings more good into their discography.
Remember this dropping while I was scrolling through Facebook and heard a bit from the album and I have to a bit of it and I was oh shit alrighty let's here and damn bro it's a underrated project from the dude it's grown on me ever sense.
Feel like Jake has lost his touch musically... Being stuck by making generic music and pretty short albums too. His passion is gone.
It's another miss and honestly imma give him one more album. This one is just building his discography just to show you that he is doing music but is it good? Nah.
This album was not bad at all but to me it seemed a lil repetitive but overall it came with some nice tracks.
This was the very first album that I listened to J Cole.
The first song that I ever listened to by him which at the time I was 14 it was fire squad.
The rest of the album that I listen to throughout the years I can see why this is a classic to J Cole fans to me this is his top three best albums he's ever made in his discography.
Production was really crisp and authentic, giving a sound a little different vibe of what most rap was in the early to mid-2010's.
Overall this is a ... read more
Fairly poor performance for this dude. Production was alright at best but his rapping is lazy.
Ivan B made an improvement with this album. Good collabs and production was the best on the album. Rapping was good too.
Only liked a few albums from this dude and to me this is his best work. Production definitely crisp at it's time and still is. Collabs are the cherry on top for me.
Heard this back in 2013 and I fw it really. Genuinely felt like I can rock his music. Can I today? Yep but only his older shit. His last good project in my opinion and it's an unpopular opinion it's CFLB in 2021...other than that the early to mid 2010s for darke was something special.
Sitting down and listening to 2017 Kendrick is crazy to be honest. DAMN. Definitely was revolutionary of an album itself but as a piece of music it goes down as one of the most influenced albums in the 2010's... HIS discography in the 2010s is untouchable but for DAMN. ending that era is perfect.
