Billy Talent is among my favourite bands so maybe I'm looking at this through rose coloured glasses but so far I think this is a really solid project. I think it is their most varied (musically) album yet and they pull off some of their most ambitious songs yet. This is the first album I have ever reviewed. I don't usually review albums but this album was so terrible I couldn't just leave a rating to sit in the abyss.
This album is bloated, repetitive, unpolished, and largely uninteresting. There were a few songs on here that were musically fascinating and well done but there were no absolute standout tracks for me and some of the tracks I would've thought were objectively terrible, although based on all the positive reviews I might be in the minority ... read more
