Riley! - Keep Your Cool
98

Update... This grew on me, I can't believe I have it "88", this is genuinely one of the best emo releases in a long time!

MEOVV - BITE NOW

F*** you, I'm biased, but this is so fun. It's an EP, so it showcases another side of them.
Upon the inevitable full release album with songs like this and their first release, shits gonna go off! And I can't wait!

Genuinely love the boppiness of 'Hit 'em'

The horror vibes and gang vocals in 'DDi Ro Ri', and that breakdown, I'll be blasting it all week!

'In my hands' has anime vibes, but like also a nostalgic cyberpunk feel... Really ... read more

Robo Pumpkin - The Autumn Here

I definitely like this. It just doesn't venture away from it's sound making the album from start to finish be a 30 minutes long song, I wanted a bit more variety. Still pretty good and excited to hear more of their stuff.

Future Teens - Still Life
95

This is one of the best pop punk bands going around!
The earnestness and honesty and emotions.
What a great album!!

MUNA - So What
100

That last 30 seconds gives me life!

MUNA - Wannabeher

This gives Kpop, and I love it for that!

Basement - WIRED
79

What a bummer, it's not clicking with me
I can hear it's greatness but I'm not in the space for it
I'm sure it'll grow on me

Loved: Head Alight, Summer's End

Sophie Truax - 10 FEET TALL

I'm obsessed with this song!

Anna Jeavons - Anomie

Absolutely stunning and beautiful!
One of the best Aussie releases in a long long long time!
I love every track!
It's such a dreamy album, like every track is a memory coming back to haunt you.

Noah Kahan - The Great Divide
85

This really won me over gradually
But 96 minutes is wild
There is filler, but it's filler with a vibe.

Time will tell if I like this more

Faves: The Great Divide, Deny Deny Deny, We Go Way Back, Spoiled

Prince Daddy & The Hyena - Hotwire Trip Switch
80

Prince Daddy & The Hyena
A prince is the child of a king and queen
A Hyena is an animal whose laugh is wheezy.

This album is as if Queen Of The Stone Age & Weezer had a child.

The math checks out.

I love this band, the songs, the music, the lyrics.... But man... Did Kris maybe wanna do some vocal warm ups?

BTS - ARIRANG
99

Genuinely one of the most fun kpop albums I have ever heard.
I really enjoyed a good chunk of this album, I really look forward to the fan discourse over the new few days and weeks.

The only negative, is since fans waited so long I thought it would be more epic and grand in scale, with like a 2 hour run time. I also would love to know the spread of shared space for each member. I feel like Jimin, J-Hope and RM dominated the run time the most, but I could be wrong.

Really really liked this a ... read more

Footballhead - Weight of The Truth
89

Early 2000's metal (Mudvayne in particular) with drips of classic 'Citizen' emo and sprinkles of Jimmy Eat World... Pretty good stuff!

Softcult - When a Flower Doesn’t Grow
97

This is one of my favourite bands in the scene
They are so full of life and vibes!

They sound like a band that would play at The Bronze in 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'.

This album is great from start to finish, their message has never been more clear and the soundscape is vast!
Really, really enjoyed it!

Tiny Voices - Reasons I Won’t Change
95

Are you kidding me! What a great album!

Aren't We Amphibians - Parade! Parade!
95

By 'Forgiving Jeff' I knew this was one of the best albums of the year!

What a phenomenal find!
I loved this so much!

Spanish Love Songs - A Brief Intermission In The Flattening of Time
95

I do think the distancing from their punk rock origins makes me a little sad. But this 70s vibe with Dylan's vocals and lyrics are still an amazing time. Soul crushingly beautiful!

Each song gives me this disco period vibe along with the haunting echoes of mid to late 90s / Early 2000s Bruce Springsteen (especially Secret Garden)

The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee

I walked down the isle to "Old College Try"
I am now divorced.
There something probably meaningful in all this....

On Fishmoo's review of MUDRAT - WE DESPISE THE BOURGEOISIE
"Lots to impact here...... Not British, slightly insulting to saying that, like I mean crazy levels of fucked up haha MUDRAT is and always will be first nations (indigenous Australian), and the best to do punk/hip hop. Hope this correction helps."
On Hot Mulligan - The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still
"After several listens (6 more times) I have bumped up my score and it grows on you as an album. But I totally get what people mean when they are done with the constant shrieking, but meh, it's hot mulligan, it's what they do haha"
