IT'S SO FUCKING LOUD AND PISSES ME OFF AND I LOVE IT

"Bottomless Pit" is a hyper-aggressive, loud, and abrasive album, way more then "The Money Store" in all of these aspects ("The Money Store" was the first "Death Grips" album I reviewed on this site, so I'll use it in a couple of comparisons). It's insanely intense, and might be a bit of a difficult listen for those not ready for it. I've already covered much of what makes the music of "Death ... read more

Quick review after a single listen:

Eh. I haven't listened to "Changes" yet but I'd be willing to bet that "Justice" is a bit better. Aesthetically and thematically, we can see how Justin tried to change things up a little and go in a different direction with the predictable "sad relatable boi" vibe? I don't really mind it too much, because it seems a lot better than the "Changes" era. I don't want to be THAT guy that just pisses on the album because ... read more

Quick review after single listen:

"Nightmare Vacation" was a solidly decent album. I really liked the parts where Rico went more into the realm of "hyperpop" and "PC music" on songs like "IPHONE". With the context of seeing what Death Grips has done over nearly a decade after "No Love Deep Web" dropped, I can safely say that in my opinion, this is the most "hip-hop" album they have ever made. ... read more

"Die Lit" is simplicity made as refined as possible.

Playboi Carti dropped "Die Lit" as a follow-up to his self-titled EP in 2018, and I think that the former still remains as one of the most interesting trap/rap albums to have come out in recent history. Something that needs to be addressed before I hop into the actual review is how there is often an aura of disdain towards the type of music Playboi Carti makes, which many would call “mumble rap”. At its core, ... read more

As I am planning on making a list from AOTY users, I would like to ask this question: What is an album that you and your parents like? Please elaborate if you'd like :)
