i took a while to get into this album and oh boy it was worth it. at first impression it might seem a little dull but the core of the quality of this album is in the tiny details and in its soul(if that makes any sense). i just truly think there is nothing like listening to this strolling through a city or looking out a window and just reflecting on your decisions. its truly magical

The things I ve gone through with this album by my side... It is just so special to me. I love the themes of the album the way that the stories are told and the contrasts and hipocrisies of human behaviour. Absolute perfection sonically as well. Let it happen might just be one of the greatest songs of all time.

its dark and yet melow and romantic i love the atmosphere

a produção disso aqui eh bizarra de boa, os efeitos de voz, a respiração arrastada e os samples de west coast classics são incríveis. se tornou meu favorito do trip hop(sorry portishead). as letras são lindas também tudo é muito etéreo e os temas de submissão e incerteza combinados com referências espirituais e existenciais são muito geniais.

i really wish it was more cohesive. the ideas are great and the artpop sounding songs are just gold.

Her best work honestly when it comes to lyricism and concept. Maybe the production in some of the tracks did not age as well but this is just gold, its the struggles of a black woman with relationships, self esteem, family and friendships told in such an original and honest way with very creative lyrics and out of this world vocals at a lot of points. Its groovy, its catchy and the deluxe version is even better.

This is not a deluxe, this a playlist at this point lol. The quality is not on the same level as SOS and definately has a few skips. The thing i think SZA lost about this release strategy is the power of storytelling that an album has, this project just feels like a bunch of songs stitched together in an okay way but definately not in a single theme or message.

I cant rate this lower than an 80. I just have so much history with this album, and i feel like it was very important for a lot of gen-z lgbt youth. The music video trilogy is amazing and is as important as ever in this cruel world we live. On the music itself I have to say it is a very teen album and for a debut its what one would expect. I love the vocals in every track and the guitars are very catchy. I do have to say some of the songs like the opnener build up to nothing, i miss something grand about them. Now, female energy part 2 is amazing, the build-up, the background vocals, the ear candy in the lisps. Its such a romantic banger, really cute and the vocals really brighten up the feels. Samo is now and then is redundant and PrettyGirlz is ok. I like U KNOW, its a cool song. Time machine is another banger.
