This is what getting the wind knocked out of you feels like. But after you start heaving MC Ride clocks your jaw and starts screaming in your ear. A hard listen but a very solid experimental rap mixtape from a great trio.
A super fun yet basic 80’s record that had me on my bed kicking my feet in the air and feeling cute and petite.
I felt like I was getting punched and then coddled. A wild ride of emotion and beautiful writing. Every track is either amazing or borderline brilliant.
Bass boosted diarrhea doo doo fart with a guy that sounds like he's half asleep. Playboi Carti reigns the best opium rapper still. Fuck you Ken Carson. [Green room is a bop]
“Kamera” is one of the few songs I’ve beat my shit crazy style too. This whole album is one of the best rock albums I’ve listened too. It’s so soothing and also fun sounding. Every song on here compliments the other and it leaves a great album that sounds incredible.
Such a fun jazz rap project that while sure, it’s not much new it’s still a very enjoyable project and one of the few I cared enough to buy on vinyl. Madlib continues to cook.
A staple of music period. When I listened to this for the first time I was absolutely entranced. Everything about this album is beautifully haunting. Vocal performances from Jarboe and Michael were amazing. Everything on this album ... read more
One of the most beautifully crafted pieces of music. The narrative, while being about a breakup, is interesting thanks to Phil’s wordplay. The instrumentation range is also spectacular and works perfectly as well. The albums has dips in sound going from calm acoustic guitars to crashing drums and drone noises. It’s sound is unique and it all culminates in a perfect project that will withstand time.
