This record isnt better than Finally Rich or Almighty So, but it sure has some fun moments. Honestly, most of the songs feel like Dont Like but done in a different way.
The production is loud, but not as insane as Almighty So. Chief Keef does his thing like always, and its great.
Best track: Dont Like
Worst track: My 'N-words'
Their best work for now.
Death Grips comes back on this one, and its great. This honestly feels more experimental and fun compared to the previous records.
The production is bat shit insane like always, but this time it feels more "glitchy?" and i cant get enough of it. MC Ride is MC Ride. I heard that Jenny Death is even better, so im excited.
Best track: Up My Sleeves
Worst track: Fuck Me Out
Decent.
Bijelo Dugme's second studio album is quite a step down from their debut. It has some entertaining tracks, but most are just kinda forgetable.
The production has its moments, mainly with the guitar, but the cowbells annoyed me so much. The vocalist Željko Bebek is also decent, except when he screams, then its just annoying.
Best track: Požurite Konji Moji
Worst track: Šta bi dao da si na Mom Mjestu
Zzzzz...
J. Cole is so hit or miss for me, i just cant explain it in any other way. This album is mostly uninteresting, after listening to the ablum i forgot half of the songs.
The production is a fucking slob, just the most bare-bones trap beats that could be slapped together in like 10 minutes. Coles rapping is nothing special, but there are a line or two that i kinda like.
Best track: Kevins Heart
Worst track: The Cut Off
I think the only reason this one is remembered is because of the 3 iconic tracks. Im not saying the rest are bad, hell, i even think Weekend Wars is bettet than Electric Feel, but they are mostly forgotten.
The production is amazing, even if this album is a "sellout" as said by the members themselves. The vocals are alright, nothing too noteworthy.
Best track: Kids
Worst track: 4th Dimensional Transition
Holy shit, the score is so overexaggerated.
This is the final Bijelo Dugme record, and its not as bad as people say on here tbh. It has some eh songs, but its still got bangers i relisten.
The production has its moments, but some songs have really goofy beats. Alen Islamović's vocals are alright. The album can be messy at times, but it still has some charm.
Best track: Ako Ima Boga
Worst track: Neću to na Brzaka
One word, amazing.
Wu Tang Clans debut album is their most critically aclaimed, and for a good reason. I love the eerier moments on this album, and the goofy ones too like the track Method Man.
The production is incredible. Like i said, its eerie and it doesnt get stale (thank God). Every single member brings something to every song, they have great synergy together.
Best track: Da Mystery of Chessboxin
Worst track: Clan in da Front
Great, but not up to par with Thriller.
Another Michael Jackson classic full of entertaining songs. These ones sound more funky compared to the previous album.
The production is amazing, the only problem i could have is that its sometimes louder than the vocals, which are also great btw, but you already knew that.
Best track: either Bad or Smooth Criminal
Worst track: Just Good Friends
This record is kinda nostalgic to me, but that nostalgia doesnt save it from some clear issues.
This is the period in which the final vocalist came into the group, Alen Islamović. This one has some incredible tracks, and some of the most forgettable ones.
The production is nice, but some tracks really need to be a bit remastered, like Pun Mjesec Iznad Bosne. Alen's vocals are also nice, but they dont match to the previous vocalist Tifa.
Best track: either A i ti Me Iznevjeri or Pljuni I ... read more
Good, but theres a lack of variety.
This is probably his most critically aclaimed project, and although i prefer The Plugs I Met, i still found this entertaining.
The production is incredible at times, but it has that problem like every gangsta rap album, that being the repetitiveness. Bennys rapping is also really good.
Best track: either Joe Pesci 38 or All 70
Worst track: Fast Eddie
Entertaining stuff.
The debut album of Bijelo Dugme, back when their vocalist was Željko Bebek, who stayed much, much longer than the other two. Honestly, my expectations were high because of the first track.
The instrumentals are great, especially the powerful guitars. Željko Bebek can be annoying with his screeching at times, but its still fun.
Best track: Kad bi' Bio Bijelo Dugme
Worst track: Sve ću da ti Dam, Samo da Zaigram
I LOVE COCAINE!!!
David Bowie's tenth studio album is great just like most of the Bowie classics. I love how he can change genres with ease most of the times.
The production is simple, funk rock mixed with even some soul elements, and its really effective. Bowie's vocals are also great as always. Some tracks do drag on a bit tho.
Best track: either Station to Station or Golden Years
Worst (weakest) track: Stay
Eh.
Has some highlights, but it sometimes tries to be way too "ambitious". Its definitely not bad, but it kinda bored me at some points.
The production, yet again, has some highlights. I like some samples on it but thats it. J Cole is also just alright, but he can sound off at times.
Best track: Let Go My Hand
Worst track: Applying Pressure
Honestly, a nice Bijelo Dugme record.
This is the first time i rate their album on here. This is the time when they changed their vocalist from Željko Bebek to Tifa. I honestly never minded the change since most of the songs on here are good.
The production is mostly good, and Tifa really, and i mean really likes shouting in his songs. Its a shame that tracks like Pediculis Pubis and Lipe Cvatu dont stand out for me that much.
Best track: either Padaju Zvijezde or Jer Kad ... read more
Solid and nothing else tbh.
Continuing my Ekatarina Velika journey, this album feels too simple compared to the album "S vetrom uz lice", and that kinda downgrades it.
The instrumentals are alright, but they do have some high points. The vocalist is also solid, but his vocals are not as interesting as they were on the album mentioned before.
Best track: Par godina za nas
Worst track: Ona i On i On i Ja
Fun asf.
There are some Bruno Mars classics on here like Locked out of Heaven and Treasure. I do prefer it over his debut.
The production is really entertaining, but it can be a bit too weird, like on Money Make Her Smile. Bruno has incredible vocals, they really shine through the whole record.
Best track: either Locked out of Heaven or When I Was Your Man
Worst track: Show Me
Honestly, this song is slowly becoming one of my favorite songs of all time.
No words. Just magnificent and depressing at the same time.
Okay, this situation is similar to my By The Time i Get To Phoenix review, because this also feels like more of an experience than music.
The tracks are mostly simple acoustic guitar chords and mostly nothing else (apart from the electric guitar on Soria Moria). The lyrics are definetly the highlight, its basically just grief put into a folk album.
Best track: either Soria Moria or Real Death
Worst (weakest) track: Seaweed
I just found out about this, and i feel sad now.
If i understood this correctly, there was supposed to be a collab album between these two, but it never happened due to MF DOOMs passing. And damn, i wish this was longer.
The instrumentals are good, and honestly, Westside Gunn was better on this project than DOOM. This really feels like his project with MF DOOM added in.
