Hands down, THE most insane album ive ever heard. crazy

weed420 - amor de encava
90

Geese - 3D Country

GETTING GEESED UP FOR 2026 PT3 THE FINAL PART:

I did it chat. Now having listened to “3D Country”, I’m properly Geesed up for 2026. While this album is slightly weaker than “Getting Killed” and Cameron Winter’s “Heavy Metal”, I think it has the coolest moments I’ve heard from the band thus far. The apocalyptic bits of chaos, the insane instrumental portions, and Cameron Winter screaming at the top of his lungs on top of all of that, this ... read more

GETTING GEESED UP FOR 2026 PT2:

Here I am, finally getting to Geese properly. I’m honestly so glad I’m getting into this band, these guys are RIDICULOUSLY GOOD at making music. Every song in this album is genuinely fantastic, other than literally 2 OF THE SONGS that I wasn’t super crazy about. “Getting Killed” is an album about how normal life is BAD and MONOTONOUS and BORING. And no one likes to be boring right??? That’s where Geese comes in, they get you ... read more

GETTING GEESED UP FOR 2026 PT1:

I've been hearing about Geese for basically the entirety of 2025. So, for 2026, I decided to finally lock the fuck in and listen to some Geese. But before getting to "Getting Killed" and "3D Country", my friends all recommended that I listen to the lead singer's solo album, "Heavy Metal". Now that I’ve listened to this, oh my goodness, I can see why. This is just a fantastic album with genuinely fantastic writing and ... read more

super neat ambient tracks made by bestie !! i listened early :3

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
84

Crazy how some people said JVB was not taking the Beastie Boys legacy seriously when this album is probably one of the silliest hip hop albums I've heard in a MINUTE.

BADBADNOTGOOD - Talk Memory
72

my first BADBADNOTGOOD record!

I bought this on vinyl when I found it randomly at a local record store, saw it was a special edition, and said "oh what the hell, sure." I've never heard an album from this band, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Now that I've heard it on the extremely cool vinyl (great packaging and it sounds great), I think this is pretty okay. Sure, it's a well made album, but it kinda went in one ear out the other for most of the ... read more

bad album bingo #1: actually good album by the beginning but it gets so much worse by the end. very very silly and i'm so drun k

Westwood - Glamour
83

Jane Remover type swag, glittery maximalist 2000s pop production, and awesome songwriting.

This is the second artist that I’ve found on Instagram reels whose ad campaign actually worked on me. Who knew making good music and letting that talk instead of whatever bullshit other artists come up with is an effective marketing strategy?? Genuinely insane sound throughout, just banger after banger. Love this

also, I’ve asked everyone I know “do u think Westwood is ... read more

death's dynamic shroud - 4k god projected on the smoldering ashes
85

idk why this project hasn't gotten the praise that it's gotten on RYM on AOTY. This is such an impressive album, even by the high standards of death's dynamic shroud. To paraphrase another reviewer on RYM, this album feels like a transmission from another universe, particularly one that has suffered some kind of horrible fate. The eerie album cover reflects this (probably one of the scariest album covers of the year btw), as well as the comparatively empty intro and outro that ... read more

MIKE - Showbiz! (Deluxe)

HELL YEAHHH I LOVE WHEN RAPPERS PERFORM LIVE W LIVE INSTRUMENTS !!! I LOVE TINY DESK !!!!

Yeat - 2093
80

Guess I didn’t see the vision the first time i listened to this album bc this is some pretty awesome stuff! Yes it’s really bloated and I wish it was shorter, but most of everything I heard on this is fantastic, so realistically i have no idea what i would cut if I had the opportunity to. The production is mind boggling and the lyrics are kinda insane, he definitely did all he could to convince us he’s living like an otherworldly being, that’s for sure.

MAVI - The Pilot
71

another reviewer on here said that this doesn't rlly sound like a MAVI album and they're right actually

Daniel Caesar - Son Of Spergy

My ears have been blessed today

Danny Brown - Stardust
73

...in which Danny Brown becomes a pop star.

This album is really weird, man. It's not "Atrocity Exhibition" weird, where it's like experimental hip hop stuff, but instead, the whole idea of this album just came out of fucking nowhere. Well.. I'd be lying if I said that. Everyone who has been paying attention to Danny Brown knows that he has been a HUGE fan of the underground hyperpop and wider trans girl music scene as of late, so this record didn't just come out ... read more

Armand Hammer - Mercy
68

Severely disappointed by the lack of effort the Alchemist has shown here. His last effort with Armand Hammer, “HARAM”, was so mind blowing and great that I guess he didn’t even try to compete with it, instead just giving the duo the same dull, boring beats he gives to other rappers. I’m genuinely so tired of this guy right now, and it frustrates me more than anything how “Mercy” seems to show us that “HARAM” was just an odd fluke instead of him ... read more
